Deciding to have a breast reduction was, for me, a big decision. I felt that women should be judged on their qualities and abilities not on their physical appearance. And yet my breasts always made me self conscious. I am 5’3” and slim so wearing size 32DD increasing to 32E or F and needing minimisers. This led to restrictions on what felt comfortable. I avoided swimming as I hated myself in a swimsuit and chose clothes very carefully. I didn’t wander around naked like others. My mother had reinforced my self image as something to hide. I tried hard to feel confident but envied others especially as my breasts swelled up in pregnancy and breast feeding was miserable. They remained bigger. Then in my seventies I looked back at lost opportunities and began googling. At my age and still working I could also afford it. I decided I only wanted a woman for this. This narrowed the choices to a handful. I read reviews and thought a lot. When I made that first step it felt immediately that it was right. Judith Hunter was welcoming, affirming, smiling, professional and also highly practical and informative. The next steps were easy and there was always her administrator Sophie Freud answering all emails quickly and making sure I felt special. There was a blip due to some odd heart and blood readings (checked and all fine). My GP was highly supportive and said I could do it on the NHS. I decided to pay so that I could have the surgeon I trusted. It all went exactly as planned and recovery was very good. Nothing needed except Paracetamol. My GP commented that recovery speed was probably helped by having achieved what I’d always wanted. I am now 32C and happy without those flopping masses. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Judith Hunter. All aspects of the procedure were of the highest quality. Above all she is such a nice person. My only frustration came from the hospital finance whose invoicing system was very confusing sending invoices after I had paid. Sophie was again very helpful sorting this. It wasn’t cheap - around £14000 including the cancer screening before and after. For me, fully worth it.

I was referred to the One Hospital as an NHS patient, and it was a bit of a revelation. I have always thought the NHS works wonders with what they have, but the One Hospital shows what can be done when you have what you need. First experience, parking; sufficient space and a simple number plate login system, followed by a friendly and efficient reception desk. The appointment with the consultant was excellent, I felt no pressure of time, the Doctor was charming and friendly, and the examination was thorough and highly informative. I was referred for an MRI scan with just a few days' wait, where the experience was similarly exemplary. The system at the Hospital feels cohesive, and I very much appreciated the experience.

My husband's mental and physical condition was worsening rapidly. We felt immediate confidence in Mr. Toma when he interviewed Peter at home. The Clinic is very welcoming with attentive staff. I was impressed by the pre operation tests for Peter. It was a privilege to meet Mr. Toma in Peter's room. We had absolute trust in him. I waited until after Peter returned from surgery before going to my brother's in West London. He visited with his wife the next day and they were impressed too. It was very good that Peter was discharged so soon. His walking has improved and his mental confusion very much reduced. His clips are due to be removed this Friday, all healing going well. To sum up...we are thrilled.

I was blown away by the care and thoughtfulness of all the staff at the McIndoe. I have never been looked after so well as I was anywhere else! My surgeon Miss Molina achieved above and beyond what I had expected, I can’t thank her and her team enough for what they achieved. The nurses were amazing looking after me and the staff that provide food & drinks were so kind and considerate. I was so worried about having the diep flap breast reconstruction after having breast cancer leading up to it but I really had nothing to worry about, my recovery has been far better than I thought it would be and 6 weeks later I’m feeling pretty much back to my normal self! Thank you doesn’t seem enough.

I was incorrectly referred to Dio by Bupa for TMJ, however at the time myself and Bupa did not understand my issue. Dio went above and beyond to help me, giving me exercises to lessen the problem and connecting me with the right doctor. What I really needed was a maxillofacial doctor and Dio was able to secure me an appointment with one that very same week. I am grateful to Dio for him taking the time to make sure I was going to receive help even though it was not within his area of expertise.

I needed urgent same-day Testicular Ultrasound after A&E couldn’t provide one. Dr Annan saw me first thing in the morning at 9AM. He was professional, excited & eager to help me. Wasn’t dismissive of my fears, nor about what was in my head after what I heard from previous doctors or chatGPT. He was deliberate, not rushing, and took extra time to survey the areas I was worry about. One of the best experiences I’ve had with doctors. He is outstanding.

I always have a positive experience. I feel cared for and listened to! My one negative feedback would be to make the registration digital form available for completion ahead of the visit as there isn’t always the time on arrival. Due to travel delays I arrived with 1 minute to spare - the form took me 6 mins to complete so felt a bit rushed and late for my appointment. Other than that - I would recommend the clinic to anyone!

The Nuffield was incredible. Access to appointments was within 2 weeks, from consultation to my surgery date was2 weeks in total. The care and professionalism of all the team I was in contact with was second to none. Including those who I just passed in the corridor.
