Mr Richard Slade is a Consultant Gynaecologist in the UK.
Mr Slade qualified from The University of Leicester in 1984 and worked at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff before his appointment as a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon in Manchester.
Mr Slade is a senior Consultant Gynaecologist at The Christie Hospital since 1995, which is the largest single site cancer unit in Europe. He has extensive experience in all major gynaecological cancer at a world renowned centre.
Mr Slade was the Chairman of the Senior Training Committee, establishing excellent training for all registrars in the region and developing surgical training for subspecialty trainees in Gynae-Oncology at The Christie.
As the Chairman of the North West Sector Specialist multi-disciplinary team he has organised and runs a weekly team which covers Bolton, Wigan and Salford and oversees the care of approximately 1 million people in Gynaecological Oncology.
His extensive clinical experience has enabled him to be actively involved in training as the Chairman of the Senior Training Committee for four years and also as vice-chairman of the Clinical Subgroup in Gynae-Oncology. He is also an examiner for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London.
