Mr Martin Raglan

Mr Raglan was very professional, explained the procedure clearly, together with any potential risks, as well as likely benefits. My visit to hospital was a positive experience, where I was kept informed of my progress, procedure time, and departure etc. The hospital facilities were modern, impeccably clean and comfortable. The entire experience was exceptional and well worth going through, even the early signs look good.

Mr Raglan was exceptional. He was very welcoming and provided clear medical advice on options. I felt reassured on the steps of the surgery procedure, through his expertise, professionalism and confident approach. Mr Raglan was very personable and upbeat in his manner and answered all of my questions and concerns. The aftercare has been excellent, with Mr Raglan undertaking follow up care with his PA & Team at the Spire Hospital always easily contactable kind and supportive. My sincere thanks to Mr Raglan and his team.

My recent visit is a follow-up in relation to a foot/ankle problem that's been ultimately resolved through surgery. I've seen Mr Raglan several times throughout the course of diagnosis/treatment and I've always been pleased with the care I've received. I'd spent a long time struggling with ankle pain and instability to the point my mobility and physical activity was somewhat restricted. In the time following my surgery, my recovery has meant I've been able to exercise far more, lost nearly four stone and increased fitness levels and managed to do things I'd never have been able to before: a 20k walk around Derwent and Ladybower Reservoirs and a challenging terrain walk through Castleton, Mam Tor & Barker Bank.

Mr Raglan put me at ease in my initial consultation, explaining the operation in lay terms. He warned me about all the risks without scaring the life out of me. The surgery was completed without issue and the follow up has been well coordinated. I’d highly recommend Mr Raglan and Park Hospital.

On my recent visit I was told that I had two stress fractures, one in each foot after playing golf and falling down a rabbit hole. After having an MRI scan this was discovered, but previously when I had had my feet X-rayed at another hospital this hadn’t been noticed. Mr Raglan is very thorough and explains everything very clearly. He also is happy to answer any queries or questions you may have.

Mr Raglan was very clear in what my problem is and the options available. We both agreed at this stage avoiding surgery was the best option

Went to see Martin for a 4th opinion regarding my ankle, he was very welcoming and friendly. He spoke to myself and my partner in what o would call "human" terms, listened, showed compassion and humour which was appreciated towards a difficult situation I valued his opinions and grateful for his time to see me

I was seen on time. During the appointment Mr. Raglan took the time to explain the procedure needed for my left foot and was very pleased how the surgical procedure had gone on my right foot.
