About Mr Michael Gale
Mr Michael Gale is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. He qualified from University of Cambridge in 2004 with a Distinction in Surgery and completed his orthopaedic specialist training in the East Midlands, where he was awarded Orthopaedic Trainee of the Year in 2016.
Mr Gale undertook advanced fellowship training at the internationally recognised Pulvertaft Hand Centre, developing specialist expertise in the management of complex hand and wrist conditions. He was appointed as a full-time NHS Consultant in Hand and Wrist Surgery in 2018.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Gale is actively involved in education and professional development. He works as an Orthopaedic Educational Supervisor, contributes as faculty on two orthopaedic consultant examination courses, and is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor.
He combines specialist surgical expertise with a commitment to training, teaching, and delivering high-quality care for patients with hand and wrist conditions.
