Mr Matthew Allan Jones

Mr Matthew Allan Jones is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, where he has held a substantive consultant post since 2016. He also provides specialist hand and wrist consultations and treatment at The Meriden Hospital. His clinical practice is dedicated exclusively to conditions affecting the hand and wrist.

Mr Jones graduated with Honours from the University of Sheffield Medical School in 2003, achieving distinction in his final examinations. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006 and completed his higher orthopaedic training in the Nottingham region, working across hospitals in Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield, and Leicester. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012.

He undertook specialist fellowship training in hand and wrist surgery in Sheffield and Chesterfield and was subsequently awarded a travelling fellowship to three specialist centres in the United States: Mayo Clinic, Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, and Kleinert Kutz Hand Center.

Mr Jones is a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. He has published peer-reviewed research in orthopaedics and hand surgery and has contributed book chapters on hand and upper limb surgery to orthopaedic textbooks.
