Mr Paresh Sonsale

Mr. Sonsale graduated in medicine in 1988 and completed his Master's degree in orthopaedics in 1992. After this, he joined Nottingham/Mid Trent Higher Surgical Training Programme and later went to Cambridge/East Anglia orthopaedic training programme to complete training in orthopaedics. Here he was awarded a certificate of completion of surgical training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery.

As a part of his training, Mr. Sonsale has done a knee and shoulder fellowship. During his knee fellowship, he was trained for primary and revision knee replacement, ACL/PCL ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair and knee arthroscopies. During his shoulder fellowship, he learnt to deal with rotator cuff repairs, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, shoulder joint replacement surgery and stabilisation surgeries. These are all surgeries that he undertakes on a regular basis in his practice.

Mr. Sonsale also trained at the Nottingham shoulder and elbow unit and at Norwich upper limb and trauma unit. His NHS practice includes dealing with sports injuries, knee and shoulder injuries. In addition, he works for the Royal College of Surgeons, University of Birmingham and NHS England. He is passionate about teaching and is involved in teaching and training junior doctors. He works as a Senior Lecturer for the University of Birmingham.
