Mr Lewis is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon working in the West Midlands. He has extensive experience with all general plastic surgery procedures, with a specialist interest in reconstructive surgery, burn care, general skin surgery, body contouring, and breast surgery.
After graduating in Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 1998, he moved to Stoke-On-Trent to specialise in surgery. Following this, he completed his Higher Surgical Training in Plastic Surgery in Newcastle upon Tyne and obtained his fellowship qualification in surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Whilst in Newcastle, Mr Lewis developed a sub-specialist interest in Burn Care and undertook clinical research into improving outcomes for burns victims. He was awarded a post-graduate fellowship at the prestigious Western Australia Burns Service for his work.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Lewis regularly teaches junior doctors and trainee plastic surgery registrars, and is an examiner on the West Midlands Advanced Plastic Surgery Course. He has also been published extensively in scientific journals with a current research interest in tissue engineering, cell culture technology and looking at ways of improving scarring outcomes.
