Dr Toomas Särev is an accomplished consultant cardiologist who has dedicated his career to diagnosing and managing heart-related problems in adults. In 1988, he graduated from Tartu University, Estonia, and then completed specialised training in Cardiology at Tampere University Hospital, Finland.
With over 30 years of experience in the field, Dr Särev has a proven track record of excellence in treating various heart conditions such as chest pain, angina, heart attacks, heart rhythm disturbances and palpitations, heart failure, valvular diseases, arterial hypertension, and pacemakers. He has worked in multicultural contexts in Scandinavia and Sudan. From 2010 until June 2023, he worked as an Interventional Cardiologist at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and supported James Paget University Hospital’s cardiology team.
On Thursdays, he works with private patients at East Point Consulting Rooms (James Paget Hospital) and has clinic space at HealthShare Clinic, Norwich, on Mondays.

Dr Sarev was exceptionally helpful, he did not rush me at all and answered my many probing questions to help me understand my problem. He drew diagrams to explain further, offering detailed explanations. His explanations really helped me understand what was happening and why. I was very impressed at his helpful approach to ensuring I understood what was happening.

Dr Sarev was wonderful. He took time and care to discuss my condition, answered all my questions patiently and clearly. The zoom call to him didn’t feel rushed in any way.
