Miss Anca Breahna is a well established, highly regarded, Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in Chester, specialising in the field of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. One of the very few female plastic surgeons in her region, she is in a unique position to offer that professional female perspective and care, with attention to detail and follow-up and personalised service.
Miss Breahna’s surgical training has been largely undertaken within the United Kingdom. She began a rigorous training programme in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1999, after achieving her medical degree from the University of Bucharest and attained her PhD degree at the same University in 2007. She then relocated to the U.K to further extend her qualifications and training.
Whilst in England, Miss Breahna has completed Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Fellowships in International Centres of Excellence at St. Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Chelmsford, Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, Royal Free Hospital in London and John Hunter Hospital in Australia.
Her extensive training has been awarded with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons FRCS Plast, the fellowship of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery EBOPRAS, the Post Graduate Diploma for Hand Surgery at the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and a Master of Science Degree at the University of Manchester.
First appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 2016 at the world renowned Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Miss Breahna has the honour of being one of just a handful of Plastic Surgeons in the United Kingdom to hold both British and European Diplomas in Hand Surgery as well as the BSSH MSc in Hand Surgery.
Miss Breahna is currently a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust, a post she has held since 2018, and also has practicing privileges at Nuffield The Grosvenor in Chester and Spire Murrayfield Hospital.
