Mr Donald Mcarthur

From the minute I arrived to when I left Ross Hall I can say my experience of every part of my stay was fantastic. All nurses and staff were very attentive, keeping me informed of next steps which were all within the timescales they advised Donald McArthur is a very professional and attentive consultant. He put me at ease and instilled a very high level of trust and reassurance. He answered every question I had and could not make me feel any more assured and relaxed. I knew I was in very safe hands. Thank you! All in all, a great experience and now back home and on the mend. Well done everyone! Amazing.

Went to have my laparoscopic cholecystectomy with Mr. Donald McArthur and it was the best decision made. I was particularly scared and anxious about getting surgery and he made me feel so at ease with his confidence and ability to explain everything in ways that made sense to myself and my family. He also included my girlfriend in my care, making sure all of her questions were answered too, she states that he is extremely professional while still giving great person centred care, and is great at making you feel comfortable. He visited me once before surgery and twice after. reassuring me that everything went extremely well. Would recommend his care to absolutely everyone and I am eternally grateful for him.

I picked Mr Mcarthur because of his expertise and knowledge and i was not dissapointed at all. Very nice spoken person. Listened and most of all i felt confident in his ability. My NHS gerd consultant was terrible snd very dismissive.

From first meeting till last Dr McArthur was 1st class, very professional and gave me a detailed description of what would be involved in my procedure.

The changes in the times last minute, you get prepared then the changes added a slight frustration but was kept unformed. The only addition would be as to why the changes as it was understandable once aware.

Felt fully informed on the procedure/risks etc, didn’t feel pressured to make decisions. Everyone introduced themselves and put me at ease.

Professional, polite and reassuring due to his ability to explain clearly what will happen or has happened.

Everything you would hope and expect during anxious times where professional manner, warm and friendly, patient, assured and supportive conversations is the experience I enjoyed.
