About Dr Sonia Panchal
Dr Sonia Panchal is a Consultant Rheumatologist with specialist training in rheumatology and general internal medicine. She has developed a clinical focus on the diagnosis and management of autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions, with an emphasis on personalised, evidence-based care.
Her clinical practice includes the management of inflammatory arthritides such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, seronegative arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. She also treats a wide range of degenerative and metabolic bone conditions, including osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and Paget’s disease. In addition, she has experience managing crystal arthropathies such as gout and calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease, as well as connective tissue disorders and soft tissue conditions including tendinitis and bursitis.
Dr Panchal also provides a range of intra-articular and soft tissue injection therapies as part of her interventional rheumatology practice. Her approach combines pharmacological treatment with functional assessment and long-term disease management strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
