I wanted to share my experience with Mr Gan in the hope it helps other women who may be facing complex gynaecological surgery, including hysterectomy, or living with severe endometriosis. From the very first consultation, Mr Gan was calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely reassuring. He took the time to listen properly, never rushed my questions, and explained everything clearly and honestly — including the complexity of my condition, the reasons a hysterectomy was recommended, and what surgery would realistically involve. I always felt heard and respected, which is so important when you’re already feeling anxious and vulnerable. I underwent extensive surgery under Mr Gan’s care, including excision of deep infiltrating endometriosis and a hysterectomy. Throughout the entire process he demonstrated outstanding professionalism and expertise. He was thorough, confident, and clearly highly experienced in managing complex endometriosis cases and major gynaecological surgery. Mr Gan combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion — something that makes a huge difference to patient wellbeing. My experience began with an O/P appt with Mr Horsburgh for a possible kidney issue, and led to me having three operations on both kidneys for significant stone/ mineral deposits, which were causing me considerable problems. The process from start to finish was seamless, with every dept working together to ensure there were no delays in the pathway (scans, blood tests, specialist urine analysis, three in-patient stays, follow up from surgery etc), which I have seen so rarely in NHS facilities. This level of efficiency and care gave me a real sense of trust in both the staff and the process, which reduced my stress levels throughout (and the whole process took less than 4 months). it was also very clear that every professional (from surgeon on) had excellent clinical skills, experience and commitment. The most important feedback relates to the level of compassion and care offered me by Mr Horsburgh and every one of his team (both inpatient and outpatient); I was made to feel like a unique individual with unique needs, rather than just being another patient. The importance of this must not be underestimated, as it has, in my opinion, the biggest impact on minimising distress and supporting recovery. I can't fault the service I received.

I recently had my gallbladder removed by Miss Pissanou after seeking her for a second opinion. From the very beginning, she was thorough, honest, and incredibly reassuring. She advised that while gallbladder removal was necessary, I should first prioritise a cyst on my kidney. She immediately referred me to an excellent surgeon who successfully removed the cyst, which unfortunately turned out to be cancerous. I am extremely grateful for her judgement and prompt action, which made all the difference. When it came to my gallbladder operation, Miss Pissanou was exceptionally informative, taking great care to explain all the risks and ensuring that both my wife and I fully understood the procedure. The surgery itself was very successful, and my recovery was remarkably quick. I cannot recommend Miss Pissanou highly enough for her professionalism, expertise, and outstanding patient care.

From beginning to end what a warm and comforting environment. I don’t think the people that make the difference always get the feedback they deserve. Mr Basu was extremely kind and even referred to my dad in his call as he’s just passed away and I’d mentioned him. Sarah gascoigne from my initial call to book me in for my vacuum assisted biopsy I’ll add I suffer with anxiety and even though dreading it her personality and the way she spoke to me on email calls and holding my hand / leg lol just made the process possible. Shamima was also so kind and supportive and finally Dr Telesca you were so lovely and approached me in the best way possible so professional yet warming and just made me feel it was going to be ok. He clearly explained what was happening with my spine, how this was creating the symptoms I was experiencing and what my options for treatment were. He ensured that I was aware of both the risks of not having and having the surgery (bilateral decompression surgery at two points in my spine). Mr Dabasia also arranged excellent aftercare including physiotherapy and a follow-up appointment 8 weeks post-surgery. The operation was a complete success and Mr Dabasia checked on my recovery and how the wound was healing at the 8 week check. He was again very professional, ensuring that I was recovering well and knew how to contact him if I did have any concerns.

Dr Coker always presents in a professional yet approachable manner. She is very clear in explaining any tests results; her treatment plan; and any further investigations she thinks should be undertaken. The language she uses is accessible. She is receptive to answering any questions I might have. She promptly keeps my general practitioner informed of my current treatment, to ensure my medical care is managed holistically. She is an active listener and always allows me time to explain my current symptoms etc. In her professional manner, her approachability and her persistency in investigating my symptoms, I have confidence that I am in good hands.

I went to the clinic for egg freezing procedure. From the beginning everyone in the clinic was kind and responsive. My medical coordinator Karin, she was amazing, always very kind, and responsive. If you don’t speak Spanish, you don’t need to worry Karin speaks English perfectly as well as Dr Voskuilen. Dr Voskuilen is an amazing professional, she is kind and she made sure to explain everything very well to me. Dr Voskuilen made sure the dose of hormones was best suitable for me and I had regular scans to check the progress of the eggs. The procedure went really well without any complications. Pretty straightforward experience overall. The receptionist on the first floor (the Somali lady wearing a hijab) was extremely kind and helpful. My phone was about to die and I asked if there was any chance of a charger- she went out of her way to help me, which I really appreciated. It’s the small things like that which leave a lasting impression, and that’s exactly why I wanted to leave this review. The only small suggestion I’d make is having oat milk available at the coffee machine for those who don’t have dairy, it would be a thoughtful and considerate touch.

I had an appointment at 5 pm and at 5.10 pm for pathology related to my upcoming Biopsy. First I was taken in for a flow rate test ??? which was not schedule . I told the nurse that I was there for a pre admission test, but she had no idea. Finally and after my request the nurse start looking into it. The hospital did forget to give instructions about what test had to be done. I had to wait ONE hour and 15 minutes at the premises . Finally the right test come in and they could proceed. Absolutely terrible.

Mr Yazbek my consultant is a highly experienced and skilled specialist but more importantly a warm and reassuring practitioner who has made me feel I could not be in better hands.
