Dr Nilay Joshi is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist, providing expert care in the diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of rheumatological conditions. His areas of clinical expertise include inflammatory arthritis, back pain, sciatica, joint pain, soft tissue rheumatism, osteoporosis, hypermobility ,connective tissue diseases, with particular interest in early inflammatory arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Dr Joshi completed his specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in East Anglia in 2009, followed by a Master’s degree in Rheumatology (with Merit) from King’s College London in 2010. He has held a substantive consultant post since 2010.
He currently serves as Senior Consultant Rheumatologist at Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust. His outpatient clinics are held at Kettering General Hospital, Corby Diagnostic Centre, and Nene Park Clinic.
Dr Joshi uses musculoskeletal ultrasound as a routine part of clinical assessment to aid the early diagnosis and management of inflammatory arthritis, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and overall patient care.
He is also actively involved in medical education and clinical governance, serving as an educational supervisor for Foundation doctors and a clinical supervisor for specialist registrars in rheumatology. In addition, he is the audit lead and a trust appraiser at Kettering General Hospital.
