Dr Nilay Joshi

Dr Joshi has been extremely friendly in all of my visits to him, which has now been 3 times. He takes the time to listen, understand and provide easy and practical advice. I didn’t feel rushed at all in my appointment and he made the effort to explain my results fully and asked a few times if there was anything I wanted to know which made me feel reassured that he cared about my results and ongoing treatment

Dr Joshi has always and continues to be the best Doctor i have ever seen. Nothing is too much trouble and always offers me the best advice and follows through with everything! I owe him alot over the years and i am extremely grateful. He’s the best!

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in 2022 and had been on the usual “starter” medication for some 3 years when consultations always seem to end with "see you again in 6 months". I first saw Dr Joshi in October 2025. After a thorough consultation, examination and further tests, he put me forward for a change of medication. This new regime was very successful. I have recently seen him in October 2026. In preparation for knee surgery, I had to suspend RA medication which has caused a major flare. On this occasion Dr Joshi has concentrated on getting me through this until I can resume the usual medication, with an early follow-up arranged. I have now attended consultations with Dr Joshi twice and had one telephone consultation. He is always well-prepared before the consultation and is very thorough and efficient. He seems to be very proactive in treatment of patients, rather than reactive. He is a very pleasant gentleman and has excellent communication skills. This includes being prepared to listen to the patient and discuss any concerns or explain in further detail. I think he also appreciates the patient also being prepared, e.g. with their own record and notes, if applicable. Based on my experience I would, without hesitation, recommend Dr Joshi to anyone with RA.

Dr Joshi was incredibly thorough and repeatedly checked to make sure I understood what he was telling me.

Dr. Joshi explained everything clearly and gave me enough information to make decisions. His manner was very pleasant and personable, and he gave me ample time to ask questions. He made me feel like no question was a stupid question, and his medical explanations were very clear.

I find Dr Joshi friendly, professional and will always try and help with any issues I may have.

Dr Joshi is an excellent Doctor, he Informs me in great detail about my condition and the treatment I will receive. He has a calm manner and will listen to my questions and reply . He never rushes any appointment with me making sure I.am happy with all situations and the outcome. He is a very good doctor.

I have been under Dr Joshi’s care for 2 and a half years and the treatment etc has always been second to none. He is such a caring doctor always giving you the time etc. The NHS could do with more doctors like Dr Joshi

He listened attentively to what I was saying and checked very thoroughly on my present situation. Suggested a new medication to trial as a possible solution to an ongoing problem and said he would phone me to check its effectiveness. All this makes me feel safe and supported - I know I can contact him if a new problem arises. Over the years Dr Joshi has provided consistent support and care. I am very grateful for all he has done which enables me to continue to enjoy life.
