Following our son’s diagnosis of severe S-curve scoliosis in August 2024, he underwent a complex two-stage spinal fusion under the care of Mr. Mokawem. As our son is a Type 1 Diabetic, the surgical risks and recovery were particularly daunting for our family. However, Mr. Mokawem’s expertise and transparent communication were invaluable from our first consultation. He meticulously detailed the risks, recovery timeline, and the necessity of each stage with immense patience, ensuring we never felt rushed. During the stressful interval between the two procedures, Mr. Mokawem and his team provided the consistent reassurance we required. Our son felt a genuine sense of trust in him. The kindness shown during post-operative rounds, the encouragement and the the importance to mobilise, and the holistic approach to his pain management and well-being were exemplary. It is rare to find a surgeon who balances such high-level clinical excellence with such a warm and empathetic manner. Mr Mokawem achieved excellent correction and my son's spine is near perfect after the surgery. Just two weeks post-surgery, our son is recovering remarkably well. We cannot thank Mr. Mokawem enough and highly recommend him to any family facing similar complex spinal challenges.

All the staff are friendly, helpful and kind. The private wing is spotless, modern and comfortable. My nurse was wonderful from start to finish.

All the staff from receptionists, to radiologists and Doctors are all very pleasant, patient and attentive to your questions and needs. All practices and hospitals have there chaos however the royal national orthopaedic hospital seem to thrive in those types of environments and it’s really cool to see how relax and composed their staff can be in those situations.

Welcoming reception staff and Xray staff was great to ask questions and to assure me I am in good hands . Overall clinic staff nurse Diana is very helpful and professional to deal with any concerns I had .
