Very professional and put me at ease pre operation. Surgery went well and good follow up.
I had full confidence in Mr Newman from my initial consultation onwards. He is very approachable, taking the time to fully explain options and answering all my questions which was very reassuring. My robotic assisted hip replacement has been a complete success. I have recovered well and am now pain-free after suffering pain from osteoarthritis for some time. My hip replacement has really improved my quality of life and mobility exceeding my expectations. I am extremely grateful to Mr Newman and his team for their excellent care.
I had surgery on my hip as a small child due to severe dysplasia and have lived with restricted movement my whole life. The fantastic surgeon at RNOH at the time created a hip that functioned very well for me for many years but pain and limitations were the normal day to day. I had delayed getting my hip replaced for decades, wanting to wait as long as possible as I was young but after seeing Mr Newman and discussing a Mako hip replacement I felt confident that he would be able to improve what I had. At the consultation he was clear, honest and made me feel more relaxed about the procedure. On surgery day he was reassuring and I was very happy for him to carry out the surgery. He followed up with visits every day I that was in hospital. The results have been better than I had imagined. He has been able to give me, not only a functioning hip but has even improved the external appearance of it. I’m very grateful for his expertise and couldn’t be happier with the results. At my follow up appointments Mr Newman patiently answered all my questions with honesty and knowledge and made me feel very welcome to contact him in the future with any concerns. I would be hesitate to recommend him as an excellent hip surgeon.
The first diagnosis was quick and decisive. Options very well explained. The operation went incredibly smoothly, I was only in hospital for a total of 29 hours. Mr Newman unexpectedly visited me early the day after the operation to check all was ok. The staff commented that I was lucky to have Mr Newman as he was one if not the best.
Simon is polite, courteous and takes great care to explain every procedure process to make sure it is clearly understood. Such that it takes any worry or concern away. The results speak for themselves, in that I have had a very smooth passage through the whole process. Thank you very much indeed Simon.
Superb experience with Mr. Newman. From first consultation to post-operation follow up everything was explained clearly and concisely in a friendly manner, with all options outlined to enable informed decision making. The operation and recovery has been simply amazing- no need for pain killers since leaving the hospital, and pretty much a full recovery within 6 weeks. Clearly Mr. Newman is a top-class Surgeon and one I would highly recommend.
Mr Newman explained the planned surgery in a clear and reassuring way. He was always open to questions and concerns. A true, knowledgeable professional, I would highly recommend him.
