About
Mr Slesser qualified from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2003 and is an experienced surgeon who is fully trained in all minimally invasive techniques.
Slesser undertook his higher surgical training in West London. During his training he mainly focused on honing his skills in gastrointestinal surgery. He regularly performs colorectal cancer surgery and has an interest in abdominal wall reconstruction. Mr Slesser also undertakes emergency general surgery and performs all hernia repairs as well as surgery for gallstone disease.
In 2009, Mr Slesser was awarded an MSc in Surgical Sciences by Imperial College London. In 2016, for his research focused on metastatic colorectal cancer-based at the Royal Marsden Hospital he was awarded a Doctorate by Imperial College London.
He is a honorary clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College, London.

I am not able to recommend Mr Slesser highly enough. From the first consultantion, through the operation and the sign off appointment, he explained everything, including options and choices. I feel privileged to have been under his care and I would recommend him to my family and friends without hesitation.

I Found Mr Slesser to be very informative and happy to answer any of the many questions I had re the operation. On the day of the operation he came into check that I was happy with all the arrangements and contacted my wife to let her know how the operation had gone. He later visited myself after I had returned from the recovery room. I would totally recommend Mr Slesser to my family and friends.

Although, clearly very busy, he made the time to explain everything and answered all questions in a friendly , easy to understand way.

Mr Slesser was absolutely outstanding! I have a bad history with Colorectal Surgery, but he was very supportive and understanding throughout. We did wobble at the first surgery with some of the explaining of treatment etc. but it was resolved. Would however suggest a more plain type of explanation to patients when it comes to Fistulas. Other than that I am very pleased. I am moving away up North, but would actually travel back down to come see him again if I do need treatment in the future!

General SurgeryI have known Mr Slesser since we were junior doctors. Mr Slesser is a skilled General Surgeon who is patient and has an great bedside manner. He has excellent communication skills and is great at providing straightforward explanations to patients. He has a research PhD and is up to date and knowledgeable. He is an experienced Consultant surgeon who goes the extra mile to ensure his patients are well looked after. He is able to manage most colorectal / general surgical conditions as well as cancer surgery. I do recommend him to friends and family.
