From the very first consultation, he showed a rare combination of deep medical expertise, genuine compassion, and a calm, reassuring manner that immediately put me at ease. He took the time to listen to my full history, understood the complexity of my symptoms, and explained everything in a way that was clear and easy to understand. He reviewed all my scans, tests, and previous investigations in detail and connected things that other doctors had overlooked. During my procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), he was extremely professional, gentle, and thorough. His explanation of the results afterward was outstanding — he made sure I fully understood what was happening with my health, why I was feeling the way I do, and exactly what the next steps should be. What stood out the most was his honesty and clarity. He didn’t rush me into unnecessary treatments. Instead, he created a structured, sensible plan and reassured me at every stage. When an adrenal nodule was found, he immediately arranged the correct referral to ensure nothing was missed. He genuinely cares about his patients, and that makes all the difference. I feel safe in his hands, confident in his plan, and extremely grateful for his care. Highly recommended — a world-class doctor and a true professional.

I recently saw Dr Matthew Balerdi, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ve been struggling with low blood pressure and worrying symptoms for a long time, and have often felt brushed off in the past, but Dr Balerdi really listened. He performed my heart scan, explained everything clearly so I could understand, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the appointment. I never felt rushed or silly for asking questions. He went through my results with me in detail, reassured me about my heart, and gave me practical, realistic advice on how to manage my low blood pressure day-to-day. I left the appointment feeling heard, understood and much more confident about what’s going on with my body and what I can do to help myself. I will continue seeing Dr Balerdi until my blood pressure is completely stable, as I have absolute confidence in his care. I would highly recommend Dr Balerdi to anyone needing a cardiologist, especially if you’ve felt anxious or dismissed elsewhere.

He’s kind, professional, patient, and always knows how to make kids feel relaxed and safe — even when they were a bit scared at first! Unfortunately, both of our kids had a few cavities, but thanks to Dr. Amar’s gentle and caring approach, they got through all the treatments without fear or stress — and now they actually look forward to seeing the dentist! 🦷💛 A huge thank you to Dr. Amar for his incredible care and kindness. The reception was not particularly efficient. I’d paid for the consultation in advance but asked for payment. I did have to pay for blood tests & waited 25 minutes because the receptionist was unable to transfer the amount from the laptop to the card machine. The dryer in the first floor toilet was broken but no hand towels were provided to dry my hands. It was the same exactly a week earlier. I also received numerous text messages & emails most were repetitive & caused confusion as several arrived the same day. The saving grace was thankfully the clinical staff were friendly & efficient.

Staff all good, but I had been given inaccurate info before the appt and didn’t wear contact lenses for 2 weeks beforehand altho this was unnecessary as all measurements had already been taken. I then had to wait over an hour to be seen, longer than for the NHS appt. When I mentioned the long wait I was told this was because everyone had wanted a long discussion as they were private appts! Surely this is to be expected and the solution is not to overbook appts. I can’t comment yet on the procedure as haven’t had it yet.

We attended a private consultation when I noticed my 3 month old baby had a lump under her eyebrow. I wasn’t satisfied with our GP’s advice / diagnosis therefore booked to see Mr Dharmasena. His secretary was great and organised a consultation the same week even on the weekend. Mr Dharmasena was friendly, professional and really reassuring and provided confidence during an anxious time that he knew what the problem was and can help our baby with her Dermoid cyst, Congenital craniofacial malformations, Orbital surgery.

In general, their service is excellent and easy to navigate. The only minor inconvenience is a small systems organisation issue. Data collection forms are sent as soon as follow-up appointments are scheduled (6 months in advance), and so the information would be out of date if completed at this stage. A workaround is to email for a new form link shortly before the appointment date, and to their credit they are always happy to comply with this.

Arrived in good time but parking was appalling. No toilet in the temporary scanner, so had to find another in main building. Was a little out of breath in return and was sent straight in. Told to stay still, but was still breathing a little hard which wasn’t taken into account. The staff were pleasant but seemed to give up on me when I couldn’t hear instructions through the headphones (I had been told to wear ear protection buds underneath).
