Mr Gordon Muir is professional, clear, and friendly when interacting with patients. He gives expert explanations for procedures such as Green Light laser prostatectomy and circumcision. Patients report successful outcomes, improved quality of life, and receive efficient, kind care from Mr Muir and his team. His main practice areas are Green Light Laser Prostatectomy and general urology.
I had the best experience with Mr. Muir as he was my surgeon. I felt I was in capable hands and had a successful surgery.
Fantastic care from Mr Muir and his team. The procedure was painless (except the anaesthetic injections!) and the aftercare helped me prepare for any pain (which was minimal).
Possibly the scariest experience of my life. As a 38 year old to be told that you may never have kids as a result of an enlarged prostate is not something I had planned for this stage of my life. Though there is never a guarantee, Gordon Muir explained to me the risks of doing the op compared to not doing it. 2 years down the line I am now acknowledging to normal and have been ever since the operation over a year ago now. No fertility issues no erectile dysfunction and no more issues. All round excellent and grateful how it’s turned out!
I had aquablation treatment five weeks ago. I thought the pros and cons of the three procedures were clearly explained. It took longer for the bleeding to stop and for me to start peeing freely again. However, I thought Gordon was very supportive and available and Edwina was very good - especially at showing me how to self-catheterise. If I may make one suggestion, it would be that a clearer set of timings for post-op is provided such as when one can swim use a stair master etc. But I’m delighted with the results so far thank you.

thanks, glad it went welll. it can be hard to predict post op progress for individuals - not much solace when there are bumps on the road initially.
Mr Muir and his team were excellent in every respect

Thanks glad you were happy
An excellent consultation - five star!

as theyh all should be. Happy to be able to help
Mr Muir was a total professional - very reassuring and provided very clear explanations. I could not rate him more highly.

glad to make a sometime scary consultation go well
Very clear, efficient and knowledgeable. Procedure was identified quickly and explained well. Follow-up care was well-judged and reassuring.

very kind and glad all went well
Following a slightly raised PSA test result and a urine infection, an episode of acute urinary retention pre-empted my initial appointment with Mr Muir. He and his PA were very understanding and helpful, and in fact I had my first consultation with him on the phone while I was in the A&E overnight ward at my NHS hospital. This was very important from my perspective as he outlined the likely next steps the NHS consultant would take, and also the realistic probabilities of my catheter being successfully removed (unlikely, exactly as it turned out). He directed me to his online resources and explained I had three surgery options for reducing my prostate to relieve my acute urinary retention. I saw him face to face a week later and booked up a surgery appointment for a laser vaporisation procedure, which took place 4 weeks after my initial episode. The procedure was succesful and I went home the same day, and was able to urinate without the catheter from the next morning.

glad to rid you of the catheter - always horrid things!
Very experienced and expert opinion
