Mr. Sergey Tadtayev is a highly skilled Consultant Urological Surgeon who practises at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. With a particular focus on Uro-oncology, he plays a vital role in the prostate diagnostic team at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospital. His expertise extends to a wide array of urological services and treatments, ranging from laser treatment for bladder tumours to both open and minimally invasive surgeries for kidney cancer. He closely collaborates with the Frimley Park Renal Cancer Centre.

In addition to his work in Uro-oncology, Mr. Tadtayev offers comprehensive general urology care, which includes addressing issues like enlarged prostate using contemporary interventions (such as laser procedures, Urolift implants, prostate artery embolization, and Rezum), managing lower urinary tract symptoms, treating conditions like tight foreskin and scrotal swellings, investigating problems like hematuria (blood in the urine), elevated PSA levels, and testicular lumps, as well as handling recurrent urinary tract infections, urinary tract stones, men's sexual health concerns, and chronic urogenital tract pain. His expertise also extends to the management of nocturia, a condition where individuals wake up at night to urinate, which he approaches from a multidisciplinary perspective in collaboration with medical colleagues.

Mr. Tadtayev places great importance on holistic patient assessment and shared decision-making. Providing an exceptional patient experience and delivering high-quality care are central to his practice. He also takes on the role of Urology Clinical Governance lead at ASPH, actively contributing to the development of clinical pathways for emergency urology care.

His medical journey includes graduating with distinction from Kharkov State Medical University in Ukraine in 2002. He completed his foundation and core surgical training at various esteemed institutions, including Addenbrookes in Cambridge and other hospitals in East Anglia. Subsequently, he trained in Urology in the North Thames region, earning his Royal College Fellowship and Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2017. He further honed his skills through a post-CCT Robotic Fellowship in Renal Cancer at Frimley Park Hospital.

Mr. Tadtayev's academic achievements include obtaining a PhD in 2007 for his work in experimental pathology, conducted at the Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research in collaboration with the Kosair Children's Hospital Research Institute in Louisville, USA. He has made significant contributions to the field of urology through numerous publications and presentations, both nationally and internationally. Additionally, he serves as a co-investigator in prostate cancer trials and pursues research interests related to prostate cancer diagnostics, kidney cancer treatment, and the intersection of sleep medicine with urology.
