About Mr Eamon Shamil
Dr Eamon Shamil is a Fellowship Trained, Double Board-Certified Consultant ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon. He completed his registrar training in London’s most prestigious hospitals, before undertaking highly specialised fellowships in advanced nasal and facial plastic surgery in world renowned units, including University College London Hospital, East Grinstead, and in Australia.
Dr Shamil has a particular specialist interest in deep plane facelift surgery, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), rhinoplasty, the surgical management of facial paralysis, ear reshaping (pinnaplasty or otoplasty), and removal of facial skin lesions such as moles advanced sinus surgery.
Dr Shamil also commonly treats adults and children with ENT conditions including sinusitis, nasal blockage, nosebleeds, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, hearing loss, tinnitus, tonsillitis, ear infections, dizziness and vertigo, neck lumps, and head and neck cancer.
He has published more than 60 peer reviewed articles, many of which have changed international practice, is the author of the popular undergraduate and postgraduate textbooks, Scott-Brown’s Essential Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery and 100 Cases in Clinical Medicine. He is regularly invited to present his work at international conferences.
Dr Shamil is an award winning surgeon, having been given prestigious awards from The Royal College of Surgeons of England, The European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, The Royal Society of Medicine Plastic Surgery Section, The British Rhinology Society, The British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology, ENT UK, and King’s College London.
He is passionate about humanitarian work, and has volunteered in numerous medical missions across war torn parts of Africa and The Middle East.
