Never provided me with clinic letters after my consultation appointments, even after I chased him again and again for over a year. I had to even ask my insurance provider to get in touch to chase for me. But still no luck. It was completely unprofessional and irresponsible. Avoid this specialist!

Explanation

I had my first consultation with Prof Pereira yesterday and I already know I made the right choice. Over the last several months I’ve seen a lot of different consultants who were quick to jump to the standard diagnosis of “anxiety and IBS”, without even listening to my symptoms, just because I’m a female in early 30s. Professor Pereira is different than any other doctor I’ve spoken to - he actually takes time to listen, understand my concerns and answer all questions in a professional but also very friendly manner. He took my symptoms seriously and will perform further diagnostic tests. I wish I found out about him a year ago when my pain started! I also would like to mention that Sue, his secretary, is very responsive, professional and sorts everything out at lightning speed :)
