Over all I was treated very well and staff were very pleasant. Pre-op literature was vague and not geared to the patient's individual procedure. It was all generalisation and I had to telephone the booking line to ask was mine an overnight stay as I needed to organise accommodation for my husband as we lived a good distance away. Organisational and communicational lines could be improved. At my pre -op appt, the nurses at first weren't sure why I was there until I told them and then when I asked questions, they both gave conflicting answers. It did not inspire me. When I arrived on the day, the nurse doing my induction said about taking a pregnancy test and then asked "Or have you had a hysterectomy?' I looked and smiled and said that was why I was there so she had not familiarised herself with my information although she was very good afterwards. It seemed all very quick with a nurse, doctor and physio seeing me in quick succession and then me being taken to surgery quickly. I did ask the nurse for me to speak to Dr Obrycki, as I wanted to be sure of the procedure as the last time I had talked to him was in January. Indeed Dr Obrycki did come and talk to me in theatre. He and the central nurse and the anasethetist were absolutely excellent; calm, professional, caring and sincere. Perfect. I did tell them that patients are just another procedure for them but I fully appreciated their kindness and skill. In recovery I had a 1:1 nurse who was reassuring and caring; I think she was called Morag. I had lost more blood than anticipated and I was very weak and very sore, but she was very soothing and attentive. I do remember blurred vision of Dr Obrycki and the anaesthetist coming to see me but I took nothing in that they said. I do think there should be some follow up from the consultant either to family members or the patient when they have regained full capacity. The nurses were able to say that I had lost blood etc but they weren't actually at the surgery and so we have to wait til the 6 week checkup to ask questions etc. May I just say too that going over ridges on the ground and into the lift was very sore and its something that can be overlooked but every wee bump, I felt, having had the hysterectomy but I know we have to be transferred back to the room. May I say the nurses were very good in letting my husband be there for me after surgery even though it was late - it was very reassuring and soothing to see a familiar face so I would encourage that. I had an awful painful, sick night but CarolAnne nursed me through it brilliantly. I cannot praise her enough and I would wish for her to be acknowledged. I was not in a good place and she worked with meds and injections and putting the bed up and down and I thought she would be getting annoyed with me but never once did I see her mutter or make a face. She was a superstar for me when I needed it; caring, attentive, always looking to see how she could help etc The next day, I waited on an iron infusion which had to come from Belfast which took a while, but the nurses dealing with me and the ladies who brought the food and tea etc were really lovely. I don't think one night is sufficient for a hysterectomy although I know beds are precious. I was offered to stay another night as the iron was late in coming but my husband was already there and there was no sense him driving home but if I had known I was in longer, our plans would have been different. But I want to say a huge thank you to all concerned as this procedure will change my daily life; please know that even though its a job for many, its a life changing for the patients. Thank you very much

From our very first appointment through to our planned C-section and postnatal recovery, Dr Chawla delivered care that was truly exceptional in every sense. As Postnatal Lead at UCH, she coordinated and led her entire team with impressive precision and calm authority, ensuring every stage of our experience felt seamlessly managed and deeply considered. Her clinical thoroughness was evident well before the delivery itself: having identified myomas during the antenatal period, she conducted thorough and careful scans to fully understand the complexity ahead and ensure the safest possible outcome for both mother and baby. The surgery was accordingly complex, with the myomas removed as part of the procedure, and Dr Chawla navigated every aspect of it with exceptional skill and composure. What stood out throughout, beyond her clear clinical expertise, was her extraordinarily warm and reassuring bedside manner, with a rare ability to make us feel genuinely at ease during one of the most significant and demanding moments of a family’s life. The postnatal care she oversaw carried that same standard of excellence, and we left UCLH as a new family feeling extraordinarily well looked after and deeply grateful for everything Dr Chawla did for us.

I came across 2Me clinic via a google search for menopause services. The clinic just so happened to be straight across the road from where I work, so it couldn't have been more convenient. I booked an initial 10 minute phone consultation (this is free), and Dr Uchenna Amaechi rang me at the agreed time. I explained the issues I had been encountering following a diagnosis of a condition some years ago, and within minutes I felt like she had listened to me more than anyone else I had spoken to over the last few years. She was interested in what I had to say and wanted to help me find a solution. I managed to book an appointment to see Dr Amaechi the same day. In person was an even better experience than on the phone. She spent time understanding my personal story and she took the time to carefully explain various things to me that had never been explained to me previously. She provided a high level of professional care that is now so rare to find. I walked away with a prescription and a renewed belief in the medical profession.

Here’s a polished review you can use: ⸻ I cannot recommend Newmedica in Worcester highly enough. From start to finish, my experience was outstanding. I had IOL lens replacement surgery in both eyes, and it has genuinely been life-changing. The whole process was handled with professionalism, care, and reassurance at every step. The team made me feel completely at ease, explaining everything clearly and answering any questions I had. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the results have exceeded all my expectations. My vision is now clearer than I ever thought possible—honestly, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, supportive, and highly skilled. I felt confident throughout that I was in the best hands. If you’re considering eye surgery, I would absolutely recommend Newmedica Worcester without hesitation. I’m beyond happy with the outcome and incredibly grateful to the whole team. Thank you Mr Nair, Laura, Jen, Jem and team.

I waited over a year for my knee op when I got there my room was very clean and had all I could want. After the op I became quite unwell vomiting and feeling very rough, but the meds were there when I needed them with helpful staff , the physio wasn’t very helpful they saw me the next day and walked me up the corridor and got me to navigate some stairs, if they had come a day later I probably wouldn’t have been able to do most of it I was to swollen and sore but I was discharged from physio anyway, came home on the third day but had to wait all day for meds which came from Canterbury (weekend) they turned up at 20-00 and I got home at 21-30 . Now 2-3days later I apparently have an infection in the wound and feel not very good, I’ve got a week of antibiotics to take but am really worried about septic arthritis which has been mentioned by GP . I will keep a close eye on my operation site to see if it gets any worse, so not the greatest of experiences but what operation is.

I was extremely nervous about my MRI with contrast as I don't link needles and I am very clostaphobic. I was greeted in the MRI suite with an extremely friendly and professional person. Kumar I think was his name, put me at ease and reassured me. He completed attaching my cannula very quickly, efficiently and more importantly extremely pain free. He also advised that I could go into scanner feet 1st. This was made possible by the MRI technician also. I loved the sky ceiling and the whole process was extremely stress free and conducted extremely well. 10 out of 10. In an extremely stressful time my visit to the handover was exceptional. My wife who was waiting for me for 90 minutes also greatly appreciated the comfortable seating area and coffee. Thank you

The wait times were long. Though lower than NHS...Still was 4.5 months from assessment until diagnosis outcome session. In my diagnosis session the person giving me my diagnosis was really quite unprofessional - I could hear someone walking about in the room and she wasn't wearing headphones so I know they could just hear everything. Also, the start of the meeting was quite awkward as I'd said I was nervous about the result and she then opened my report and it was as if she'd never seen my assessment report before and went through it from the beginning. I found the answer to a lot of my questions was 'it will be in what is sent out afterwards' rather than it being a conversation

Initially when I enquired about appointment several months ago I was given wrong information. I was told that I could only be seen privately via Nuffield or The Spire - I did book an appointment with a cardiologist at The Nuffield but then called in at K2 and Sue Starling was very helpful and promised me an appointment when i needed it. Eventually she was able to give me an appointment with Mr Pugh just when I wanted it. On arrival at the appointment all was good. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. I didn't have to wait long. Discussion with Mr Pugh was helpful and informative - he told me just what I wanted to hear. Prompt follow up letter.

I have a complex case. Affected by potential long Covid, allergies, brain fog, and another plethora of symptoms, I’ve been jumping from consultant to consultant. Every single one has felt like they pursued the resolution of an isolated symptom, or best effort of a single thread. It has been incredibly taxing and demoralising, as it has been ongoing for years. Dr. Ricardo actually took the time to derive a holistic plan, with the objective to aggregate findings across multiple areas and understand the root cause(s). I’m extremely appreciative of the professional stance he took, and for the next steps we’re going through.

Every appointment filled me with absolute confidence for the path ahead and he was incredibly accommodating to my timeline within his work available. He is incredibly knowledgeable within his field, professional whilst completely approachable and shows clear passion. His patient care is amazing, both before and post op. I will forever be grateful for Mr Hassan and the care he has shown on this journey.

I was provided with an excellent leaflet. On the day the service ran so efficiently. Ms Luther and the team were exceptional. So caring and understanding. The radiologists were superb too! I couldn’t have asked for more care. I was treated as an individual, and they answered all my questions with thought and care.

I was referred to Dr Qureshi to manage by treatment - a mix of chemo- and radiotherapy. He explained everything very carefully and clearly. We looked at my MRI and CT scans and Dr Qureshi explained what they meant. He explained the treatment and the rationale for it as well as spelling out the side-effects. It's going to be a long journey but I'm glad that Dr Qureshi is in charge.
