Miss Radhika Krishnan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist based in Southampton at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust, also seeing private patients at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital, Spire Southampton Hospital, Sapphire Eye Care and Southampton General Hospital.

Miss Krishnan completed her medical degree at the University of Cambridge in 2002 followed by her MA (Cantab) at the same university in 2003. She undertook her ophthalmology training at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and in the Wessex Deanery followed by advanced fellowship training at Moorfield Eye Hospital in London specialising in medical retina. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2013 and was appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust in 2014. Also in 2014, she became the Clinical Lead of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Diabetic Screening Service where she served for 3 years.

Miss Krishnan has special interests and high level training in medical retina conditions including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and retinal vein occlusions. She also has expertise in cataract surgery, glaucoma and other general eye conditions including eyelid cysts, blepharitis and dry eyes. She has performed over 3000 intravitreal injections and performs both routine and complex cataract surgery. She also has expertise in retinal laser treatment and laser capsulotomy.
