About Mr David John Allen
Mr David Allen is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who has performed or directly supervised over 5500 hip and knee replacements. He has extensive experience of robot assisted surgery and has now performed many daycase joint replacements. He sees private patients at the Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital and also works at the Golden Jubilee, rated the UK's top NHS hospital by patients. He trains post CCT fellows (surgeons who have qualified as consultants but seek additional specialist training before taking up a post).
He has an MSc with Distinction in Biomedical Engineering, Mr Allen completed his higher surgical training with the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He did an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship in Ottawa, Canada. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and a reviewer for the Bone & Joint Journal.
