I was impressed by his cv and experience and decided he was the surgeon to go with. He has stated that if I require any advice in the future he was available via his mobile phone. I’m confident that the surgery will be successful.

Gave a complete understanding of what was to be expected pre-op, during and post-op. Checked in with me prior to the op re any concerns I may have had and also post-op to reassure that everything had gone well. All in all I felt in safe hands at all stages of the procedure.

I can thoroughly recommend Mr Ohly who did my hip replacement surgery recently. It was extremely successful, and Mr Ohly explained each stage of the procedure carefully.

At 49 years old, I recently had a Mako assisted total left hip replacement with Mr Ohly due to osteoarthritis. I had put the surgery off for a year thinking i needed to be in more lain before optibg for surgery, not so. Everything went perfectly, from initial consultation, advice and guidance to the operation. I had done some research beforehand into various approaches for surgery and technologies/materials to use. I even considered resurfacing at one point. Mr Ohly was clear at explaining the pros and cons of each option and advising on what he believed to presently be the gold standard. I pushed myself a little hard with the physio on week 3 of recovery and Mr Ohly was more than happy to provide guidance and address my unfounded concerns. So easy to forget you have had major surgery and i remain amazed at the result 3 months on. Long story short, excellent experience and recovery. I can put my socks on without pain and cross my legs. I’m back at the gym and hope to slowly return to martial arts. When my right hip eventually goes, or my knees for that matter, Mr.Ohly will be top of my consultant list for surgery.

Mr Ohly explained everything clearly. He has a very calm manner. He was able to negotiate a package price with Nuffield Health for me. He also referred me to access 3 months use of a Nuffield Gym/ pool centre working with a Personal Trainer
