Mr Gavin Macpherson

I found Gavin Macpherson excellent in all aspects of my knee replacement surgery. He explained the surgery to me in layman terms, which I understood . After the operation he showed me an Xray of what had been done and explained to me the probable recovery time. I was very apprehensive about the whole procedure before going to surgery but Mr Macpherson and his anaesthetist reassured me.

I had trust and confidence in Mr government McPherson and everything was explained to me and every detail and I know that the operation is over it's exactly how I thought it would turn out so Very happy with the results

I recently had a total hip replacement at spire Murrayfield with mr Gavin Macpherson. I feel that my experience was a positive one. The procedure was explained to me at my consultation and mr macpherson also came to see me on the day of my surgery. My interactions with all the staff were good and everyone was very helpful.

I have had a total left hip replacement two years after my right hip by another consultant. This time the scar is smaller and after four days, so far my recovery seems faster. At this stage I am very happy with the procedure.

Listen to your Consultant, nursing staff and also your body. Do not be afraid of asking questions. Take all the advice on board that is required to get you through your operation and recovery.

From the outset I found Mr Macpherson to be very pleasant and knowledgeable. He put me at ease and explained the procedure very thoroughly. Pre Op and Post Op he was very attentive.

The initial assessment and agreed plan of action was straightforward and came with clarity.

Mr Macpherson was very reassuring and listened to everything I had to say. I felt he considered all options before deciding on what was best for my care. He explained everything and his visits both before and after surgery were caring as well as professional. I would not hesitate to be looked after by Mr MacPherson in future.
