All aspects of my visit to Spire hospital were excellent and reassuring at all times. My care and treatment by all who attended me were proficient and showed great concern for my well being and comfort. I would be happy to recommend anyone to take advantage of the treatment.

Everybody at the Spire Hospital Edinburgh was friendly, polite, professional and efficient. Mr Macpherson treated me with great respect and explained what my total knee replacement entailed. He was honest about the pain I would probably experience after the operation and about the pain killing options. Not only did he replace my knee so far to my great satisfaction but he corrected a slight deformity in my lower leg bones due to having no ACL for 11 years which is definitely an added bonus. It is now down to me to follow all the physiotherapist’s instructions to get the benefit of Mr Macpherson’s excellent work. My thanks to all the team at the Spire who made the whole experience so much easier to cope with than I had expected.

Recently had a hip replacement following a fall 13 18months ago that resulted in a fractured hip socket. Mr Macpherson gave clear guidance from the outset regarding my options and was very quick with responses and efficient all round. Very happy with the level of communication given and felt safe in his hands going into theatre.

Couldn't fault anything. Everything was organised and professional. Mr MacPherson and his anesthetist explained everything clearly and answered all questions. Mr MacPherson's manner is superb - friendly and engaging. Follow up x-rays look great and I look forward to full recovery.

All went well. Staff were very kind as well as. professional. Making me feel very; confident and happy to ask questions.

Explains everything what will happen , you are cared for the minute you go I till you leave, everyone from consultants,anaesthetics, nurses , pharmacies were all excellent

Mr Macpherson explained the operation procedure very clearly to me in terms that I could easily understand. He visited me both pre and post operation which was very reassuring for me. I felt extremely confident that the operation would be successful.

Excellent experience all round

PRKR. Procedure was explained. I was allocated to my room on time. My room, like the rest of the building is: spotless. Surgery was on time. Prior to surgery I was seen by surgeon and anesthesiologist. Procedure explained again and pain relief organized. I can’t fault my stay, operation or after care. My follow appointments made and physio booked. .

The procedure all went to plan and I am very pleased with the outcome so far.
