Highly recommended Mr Allen very professional in explaining procedure and what to expect post op.

Faced with the need for imminent knee surgery, I was fortunate in finding - almost at random - Mr David Allen at the Nuffield. I found him to be very approachable and most proactive in discussing the varoius options available to me. David was one of the first to offer a robot guided partial knee replacement to me, instead of a full replacement, with its less invasive surgery and quicker recovery times. This has worked very well and I was walking unaided within a few days after the operation. I particularly appreciated David Allen's clear and consultative approach both before and immediately after surgery followed by a number of timely follow up visits to see how my knee was progressing. In short I can highly recommend Mr David Allan, not only for his obvious surgical skills, but also for his excellent and helpful friendly manner in dealing with his patients.

Dr Allen is obviously experienced in his field and that was evident during the consultation process. His explanation and examination of my medical problem were thorough and the treatments and options available to me were fully explained. I didn’t feel I was being directed to what may be a preferred option. It was to be my decision.

I am delighted with the level of care I received from Mr Allen during my recent hip replacement surgery. I found him very down to earth and easy to talk to. He fully explained the procedure and answered any questions I asked. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to family or friends or indeed anyone considering having orthopaedic surgery at the Nuffield.
