Mr Salil Umranikar is an experienced Consultant Urologist seeing private patients at The Runnymede Hospital and The Princess Margaret Hospital. He earned his medical degree at the University of Mumbai in 1995, followed by his Master of Surgery degree at the same university in 2000. He later completed his specialist training in Urology, obtaining the Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Urology from New Delhi in 2005. Mr Umranikar later moved to the UK, where he continued his urological training in the West Midlands rotation. In 2015, he became a Fellow in Urology of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and in 2017, he became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology.
In 2017, Mr Umranikar was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Within his department, he remains an active member, engaging in a variety of activities such as audits and research. He is deeply involved in training and mentoring junior doctors, providing guidance and supervision from foundation year level to senior registrars. He also serves as a clinical and educational supervisor to Foundation Year trainees and as a Clinical Supervisor to senior trainees.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Umranikar has also actively contributed to research in urology, participating as an Investigator in numerous international drug trials. His passion for academic and scientific pursuits is evident through his presentations and publications at national and international meetings and conferences.

I had a delicate problem which I have been emarassed about for year. Dr Salil made me feel comfortable and explained everything very well

The consultation itself was fine but apparently a blood test is needed before the MRI and since that wasn't booked there is now a delay to the procedure

Mr. Umranikar came across as a very friendly with a great bedside manner, listened to my explanation of symptoms and clearly explained examination procedure and planned treatment.

Mr Umranikar was extremely patient with me. I did not feel rushed in the slightest. He explained everything in detail and was extremely kind and friendly so to put me at ease. I feel confident in him, which I think is the most important thing when looking for a doctor.

Mr Umranikar is the kindest and most knowledgeable consultant. He spent plenty of time with me understanding my complex history and current issues. He was very clear in putting together a plan and communicating all of the steps we would be taking. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mr Umranikar is so friendly and understanding. He makes you feel comfortable, takes the time to listen to you and is going out of his way to help. I find mr Umranikar very professional and I am very grateful for everything he has done for me. Mr. Umranikar is someone who really cares for his patients and that really shines through from the very start. I cannot thank you enough! I also must say a big thank you to Jo, the personal assistant of Mr. Umranikar, who always reacted immediately and went out of her way to take any worries away.

What a charming and humorous man Dr Umranikar is. I felt welcomed and reassured right from the start. His explanations were clear and I felt at ease throughout. His diagnosis was comforting and well delivered. A reassuring and comforting meeting.
