About Mr Simon Abram

Mr. Simon Abram is a Consultant Knee Surgeon at North Bristol NHS Trust and a Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Bristol. He graduated from the University of Oxford with an MA in Medical Sciences (2007) and a BM BCh in Medicine (2010), before beginning his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2012. Alongside his clinical training, he completed a PhD (DPhil) in Musculoskeletal Sciences at Oxford, with his research focused on advancing treatments for meniscal tears of the knee.

Simon’s surgical practice encompasses the full spectrum of knee conditions, with particular expertise in meniscal surgery, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, osteotomy, knee replacement, arthroscopy, and the management of patellofemoral instability and complex ligament injuries. He is passionate about combining high-quality clinical care with cutting-edge research and teaching, ensuring patients benefit from the latest evidence-based approaches.
