Mr Ashok Sakthivel is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with 20 years of experience as a consulatnt in the treatment and management of urological conditions.
Mr Sakthivel studied and trained in India, where he gained specialist knowledge in Urology and later came to the UK to further his training. He also gained interest in endourology and lithotripsy. Mr Sakthivel practiced as a Consultant in India for 5 years before coming to practice in the UK, at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, in 2013.
He currently specialises in management of Laser prostatectomies (HOLEPs) and management of Kidney stones He is also profecient in all general urological procedurs.

Mr Sakthivel was very understanding of my condition and I felt confident in his judgement as regards the success of my operation.
Initially shocked at the cost but agreed to pay for the operation and glad I did. A bit disappointed with the initial result but quite satisfied with my progress since the operation. Mr Sakthivel has been very caring and good at explaining the process.
Mr Sakthivel took his time to explain what was going to happen next and in the future, made sure I understood everything very professional attitude
Operation was a complete success. Overnight hospital stay was very much appreciated. I would have been very worried and concerned if I'd been sent home on same day as Operation. Was very pleased to have been given an epidural as I would not have wanted to have been knocked out.
