Not only is Dr. Joash incredibly knowledgeable, she is warm, caring, and is willing to spend as much time as needed with her patients to ensure they feel confident about the care they are receiving. I suffered from recurrent miscarriages before I came under Dr. Joash's care and was given poor advice from other OB specialists, but from my very first appointment I knew that Dr. Joash was commited to ensuring we took every evience-based precaution possible to ensure I had a positive outcome. She was extremely knowledgeable about my specific risk factors and quickly put into place a plan to bring those risks down, and at every appointment took the time to make sure I felt reassured about the progress of my pregnancy. In addition to providing expert antenatal care, Dr. Joash also seamlessly navigated several delivery post-partum complications I experienced, and I am confident that both of my children and I are here and healthy today because of her exceptional medical judgement. I cannot thank Dr. Joash enough for all she has done for me, and cannot recommend her to others enough!

I recently completed a course of three shockwave therapy sessions for my Haglund’s spur (Haglund’s deformity), which had led to insertional Achilles tendinopathy. The treatment was carried out by a fully trained nurse, Feli, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Before the sessions, my Achilles was extremely inflamed and painful, making even simple activities uncomfortable. Feli explained everything clearly, ensured I was comfortable throughout, and performed the shockwave therapy with great skill and care. After the first session, I noticed a significant improvement — and now, having completed the full course of three sessions, I’m completely back to my usual activities, pain-free. I highly recommend shockwave therapy and this professional team at The London Orthopaedic Clinic to anyone dealing with similar Achilles or heel issues.

Exceptional service from Dr Hardy, she listened well and took a comprehensive history, ensuring she understood my issues in detail. She was honest and upfront about what I need to do to help myself but not judgemental and explained the reasoning clearly. She ensured my GP were informed about next steps, that I had a point of contact if issues arose. She worked with me to create a comprehensive treatment plan and made sure I was happy with trying a new medication but also explained alternative options and why she was recommending this course and what can be tried if this should fail. I felt heard and that someone was considering my menopause symptoms holistically for the first time. He also considered my unique medical history with hysterectomy, endometriosis and under active thyroid to be considered. We agreed adding progesterone to my treatment plan which hadn’t been picked up by any other healthcare provider previously. My only issue is my gp hasn’t heard from him so the prescription hasn’t been passed on. I phoned Stobhill hospital but they said they couldn’t help because it was weekend staff. I’ve phone my gp and they can’t help either so still without this medication which is really frustrating after such an uplifting appointment.

Professor Nima Heidari

I visited Professor Heidari due to an ankle sprain. His initial examination was very thorough: he tested my mobility and pain in a series of conditions, he answered all my questions, and he helped me get the Xrays and MRI needed within the following 2 days to ensure a rapid diagnosis. In my second visit, Professor Heidari went through the interpretation of the imaging with me helping me better understand the injury and the suggested treatment, answered all follow-up questions and directed me to the most convenient physiotherapist professional to help me be diligent with the treatment plan.

OK, so my final comments. Professor McDonnell is a very busy, highly experienced consultant/surgeon and tries to keep his time to what is necessary. I am not a high risk patient, and therefore not high priority. I believe he has confidence in my recovery path and therefore there are no outstanding issues. I am totally satisfied with the outcome of my surgery, and only time will tell whether my hip lasts its expected lifespan, but that’s a combination of luck and my lifestyle.

Staff were all great and very friendly and professional at all times. The only issue I had is with the openness with prices. The initial consultation and then the procedure prices were given up front and very openly. But after the procedure I was just told to book in for a follow up consultation which at know point did anyone mention the additional cost of this. £175 I feel this should have been mentioned or put into the price for procedure

My recent visit to Optegra Eye Hospital Manchester for lens replacement surgery was excellent. There was no waiting time and all the Staff were extremely helpful and reassuring to help me stay calm prior to my operation. Post operation the Staff gave me all the eye drops needed and detailed instructions on how to proceed over the coming weeks. I was also given all contact numbers in case I had any questions or worries.
