My appointment with Dr Madrigal was a breath of fresh air! I've seen more than my fair share of specialists due to complex chronic illness, and I can confidently say that Dr Madrigal is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I came to him with the hope that he may be able to unpack a suspected misdiagnosis that has weighed on me for 9 years, significantly impacting my quality of life both in the uncontrolled symptoms and management strategies. Safe to say, he exceeded my expectations. He patiently listened, asked clear and thoughtful questions, and exuded a warmth with genuine care and concern (a trait that is sadly not as common as you'd hope among doctors, at least in my experience). He explained the misdiagnosis clearly, what he thinks I may be experiencing instead, and how we can move forward to diagnose / treat it. I didn't feel rushed at all, and it was abundantly clear he wanted to do his best to help me. That care extended to his clinic letter too. Dr Madrigal's letter was easily the best clinic letter I've had from any consultant. Even for bits I found myself struggling to articulate in the appointment, he somehow managed to make sense of it and report it accurately - proving just how deeply he listened to me. His admin team are also amazing, even checking in to make sure I knew what to do next. I truly left that appointment more hopeful than I've felt in YEARS: like I finally may be on the right path to get my life back. All because a highly knowledgeable and kind consultant took the time to compassionately listen. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr Madrigal to everyone I can, and I feel blessed that I was able to see him.

From the moment I arrived at the hospital early in the morning, I was met with such warmth and professionalism. The receptionist who checked me in was friendly and reassuring, setting the tone for what turned out to be an incredibly positive experience. Every single member of staff I encountered from the porter who kindly took me to my room, to the nurses who introduced themselves and made me feel completely at home. Went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, comfortable, and cared for. The hospital itself was spotlessly clean, calm, and welcoming, which made such a difference to my peace of mind. The nursing team truly stood out: they not only provided excellent care and attention during my stay but also took the time to share their own experiences of the same procedure, which helped to reassure me more than words can say. The recovery nurses were so gentle and attentive after my procedure, and the discharge nurse made sure I had everything I needed before leaving. Every person I met without exception deserves a five-star rating. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion made what could have been a daunting experience feel calm and positive from start to finish. Thank you so much to the entire hospital team for your exceptional care. I am truly grateful and couldn’t have wished for a better experience. You are all absolutely incredible.

From the first consultation with Mr Jack in October 2024 I had the upmost confidence in him. Although it was a short consultation he was thorough in his diagnosis, explanations and proposed action. He listened to my concerns, showed empathy and had a good sense of humour. My only non positive experience was on the morning of the operation that I heard from the anaesthetist that I was to have the procedure under a spinal anaesthetic. This was the first time that I had “heard” this. My husband and I cannot recall it being mentioned on the first consultation and I do not remember seeing it being identified in the pre operative information. The procedure was excellent and I would not have any hesitation of undergoing the same again and I believe it aided my quick recovery. In my post operative consultation Mr Jack also addressed problems that I was experiencing with my knee on the operated leg and was able to reassure me that it was to be expected, was not a problem and would return to normal- which it has. I would like to thank Mr Jack for his skill and expertise in helping me to regain my quality of life. I have already recommended Mr Jack to acquaintances who are facing hip replacements.

Arriving at the Lyndhurst Rooms for a Blood test and a CT scan in the hospital. Reception were polite quick and efficient. The Phlebotomist was professional and conducted the tests well. Absolutely fine. However, the CT scan is conducted by the hospital radiology department. Waiting times were extended at the radiology reception(NHS) and in the department(NHS) before the scan. The staff were as expected very good and professional, no issue there, but the waiting time over and above the booked time was between 45minutes to one hour overdue. I have had similar scans in different facities previousy and this does not compare with the London Clinic which is fully private and the same private insurance payer is paying for a private service. the RFH Private Patients could do a lot better.

I had a great experience with Dr Patel, he really listened to me and made me feel comfortable. He recommended I get follow-up tests. There were some admin issues with this from the supporting staff - the tests had to be at a certain time of day and certain week which was explained on the after visit summary sheet from Dr Patel. However, the blood test was booked in immediately by the reception staff which lead to lots of confusion, and the scan was booked in for the following Monday but I had a call on the morning to say it was booked in with the wrong person and needs to be rearranged. I'm sure this is not representative of the clinic overall, but as my first experience of this clinic, it makes it seem a little chaotic.

Over the past few years I have seen Mr Shah on numerous occasions.Intially for an assessment , then intra articular steroid injections into both hips.Finally a total hip replacement for both hips .The first one in March 2025 , the second in August 2025 . On every occasion Mr Shah has been courteous and understanding.He has taken the time to explain everything.His diagnosis and prognosis has been spot on every time . I am not 14 weeks post second hip replacement .The procedures have been a success and life changing ! I can not thank Mr Shah enough for turning back the years on my life !

Dr Ashfaq Khan is a highly skilled and experienced consultant. He was extremely patient with all my questions and provided me a lot of reassurance before my procedure.
