About Eastwood Community Endoscopy Centre LTD
Eastwood Endoscopy Centre opened its doors in 2009 and offers a range of services, including:
- Colonoscopy - large bowel examination using fibre-optic camera
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy - examines the rectum and lower part of the large bowel
- Gastroscopy - examination of the oesophagus, stomach, and first section of the small intestine
- Rectal Bleeding Clinic - flexible sigmoidoscopy followed by a proctoscopy
- Consultation Clinic - if required, patients may see the consultant or clinical nurse specialist prior to endoscopy appointment
They are an NHS provider and are commissioned by Castle Point & Rochford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Eastwood Endoscopy Centre has recently been renovated and now offers the very latest in diagnostic endoscopic technology. All procedures, therapeutic treatments, and consultations are performed by one of the seven accredited consultant endoscopists, who are supported by a skilled nursing team and a clinical nurse specialist.
The dedicated team offers nonjudgmental, confidential, high-quality, and compassionate treatment in a caring environment. They advocate for evidence-based care and implement this in their practice.

Efficient and professional team from welcome to goodbye
From the entrance through to the exit, absolutely first class ! Everyone was lovely , made me feel at ease , I wouldn’t say the procedure was nice, a little uncomfortable but the staff were absolutely amazing.
Very friendly considerate staff. Very efficient too. I felt satisfied by my experience and procedure as it gave me knowledge and understanding. If u had to repeat the procedure I would opt for the sedation as I did not feel totally comfortable with the entonox. Thank you.

Receptionist friendly, then Nurse Daisy very good. Had a hour wait before procedure which is always a bit stressful - once inside treatment room, absolutely brilliant, all staff made me feel at ease, Dr Wright explained all that was going to happen, listening to my concerns of pain I was suffering, very calming couldn’t be happier with my treatment. Would have no hesitation in coming back
