The directions as to how to reach the Ratho clinic were very clear , and easy to follow. The staff in the reception area were friendly and reassuring. the seating arrangements were pleasant and comfortable. The explanation of the surgical procedure, and the time it would likely take, were clear ; I felt quite relaxed about going ahead and was not disappointed. The instructions for post-operation eye medication were clear, and with the assistance of my wife, I think we managed that quite well. I have been very pleased with result of the operation. I have had an eye test with my local optician and will have a further appointment in about 2 month's time. Meantime I am pleased to be driving without spectacles, and using plain reading spectacles for closer work. I am very happy to recommend the Ratho clinic to others. David G. D.

Overall a very good experience. I was informed on several occasions after surgery that advice was on hand at any time if required. In fact, I received a telephone call only a few days afterwards to check that I was doing ok. I am delighted with my results.

I was referred for Cataract Removal. The staff were friendly and helpful from walking through the the door for my first appointment.

From initial consultation to surgery everything went swimmingly. The clinic at Ratho was a calm, friendly and professional space. Diagnostics were slick and Abby, Pauline, Catherine and Maria all made me feel at ease. Consultant Jonathan Foulds undertook my surgery which went very well. No pressure during consultation phase but great lengths to ensure I was listened to and came to best decision for me. I am 9 days post surgery and all well. My world is brighter and vision improving daily. I would certainly recommend this clinic for cataract surgery. Pre and post surgery service exceptional.

Arrived slightly early at the Clinic, but there was plenty of parking. The waiting area was clean, stylish and modern and, after the formalities, and a short wait the process began. The staff were invariably cheerful and professional. The surgeon, Mr Park, did a short examination and then explained the details of the procedure in a manner that ensured I was confident all would be well. The operation was surprisingly quick with no issues and Mr Park confirmed that all had gone to plan. I was then told about how to manage my recovery and sent home with an extensive supply of medications. Overall the experience was really good and I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Mr Park and the Edinburgh clinic to anyone looking to have a lens replacement. My recovery went well and after waiting 5 weeks for a new eye test, my optician was also pleased with the results. With my new glasses my eyesight is now back to normal. Overall the experience with Vision Scotland was excellent. The only minor blip was that the clinic apparently called me to check on my progress a few days after the operation. I have no record of any such call and only became aware of it when a I received a subsequent email asking about my recovery. Given the circumstances I felt they should have tried a bit harder to obtain my confirmation that my immediate recovery was proceeding satisfactorily.

I have just had 2 cataract procedures done at vision Scotland Ratho. The whole experience was without doubt exceptional. I was referred by my optometrist and initial consultation done within a week, surgery arranged for 3 weeks later, unfortunately on day of operation my BP was to high. Dr Foulds was excellent in explaining why it could not be done. I had 2 follow up consultations by phone over the next 4 weeks and in conjunction with my GP an appointment for surgery was made 1-9-26. Yesterday I had surgery on both eyes by DR Foulds with excellent results. The professional and friendliness of all staff members should be congratulated as they made me at ease at all time, I would not hesitate in highly recommending Vision Scotland to anyone. Many Thanks
