From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were welcoming, efficient, and extremely helpful, making the check‑in process smooth and stress‑free. The hospital itself was immaculate throughout, with clean, modern facilities that created a reassuring and comfortable atmosphere. The layout of the building is thoughtful and spacious, with plenty of room in both the reception and waiting areas, ensuring a calm environment while waiting for my consultation. I never felt crowded or rushed. My consultation took place in a well‑equipped room with high‑quality medical facilities, which further added to my confidence in the care I was receiving. Overall, the combination of cleanliness, efficiency, professional staff, and excellent facilities made my visit exceptionally positive. I would not hesitate to recommend Spire Shawfair Park Hospital to others seeking high‑quality care.

I had a meniscal tear repair on 20th January. I am really disappointed and dismayed with the conflicting advice I was given regarding physiotherapy. An hour prior to surgery, Brad the physio told me I would be fully weight bearing after the operation. After the surgery a different physio told me I could not weight bear for three weeks and had me up and about practising walking on crutches. She also put a leg brace on my leg which was locked. I wasn't told to unlock it. Therefore for 2 weeks post surgery I wasn't weight bearing and movement in my knee was restricted totally. Today I had my stitches out and my first physio session. Physio told me I should have been 50% weight bearing straight away and that my leg brace should have been unlocked to allow some movement. So three conflicting pieces of advice. I am really unhappy.

This was a follow-up appointment with David Cumming for MRI results regarding my back pain. As with with my first appointment, he provided excellent assistance and advice. His feedback was detailed and clear and he answered any questions I and my son raised. He ran through treatment options, but without putting any pressure on me to make decisions there and then. Indeed, throughout my consultations, I always felt listened to, and never felt that we were being rushed through. Throughout, Mr Cumming was friendly and clear, patiently listening to my concerns and answering my questions; he was warm and welcoming - when my son dropped my crutch on the floor, this consultant surgeon did not hesitate to pick it up! I also want to praise his secretary, Emma, who has been most helpful.

From the very first appointment, Dr Ram took the time to really listen to my symptoms and explain the procedure in a way that made me feel informed and comfortable. The injections themselves were handled with incredible skill and care under local sedation..Dr Ram and the team were calm, reassuring, and professional the entire time. The procedure was much smoother than I expected, It’s rare to find a doctor who combines expertise with genuine compassion, but Dr.Ram does exactly that. Miss Nair and her colleagues at Queens Hospital were fantastic! I was treated with respect and dignity, was reassured and made to feel comfortable before the procedure. Miss Nair came to see me before my procedure and afterwards to explain the process and give aftercare advice. My recovery was without complications, my incisions have healed very well and 12 weeks on I have made a full recovery. At my recent 12 week review she reassured me that I need not have any further treatment and no abnormalities were found. My only suggestion is that there needs to be more cognizance around advice regarding surgical menopause and treatment but I understand that this is a nationwide issue.

I had my shoulder issue for nearly 30 years, with GPs constantly failing me and not giving me the right investigations to see what's wrong and saw Ravi Ray once, had an MRI and he knew straight away what needed doing and got it done. I'm now almost 8 weeks post op and it's been a real game changer. Just the rehab of building an extremely weak shoulder up now after 30 years of neglect. Ravi is one of if not the nicest, friendliest consultants I've ever seen and the only one who really showed he cared and that he wanted to help. I honestly will never have the words to thank him

I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Fawdington, who along with his knowledge and expertise is caring and empathetic with an engaging manner. From my first meeting I felt reassured that my symptoms, which had perplexed others, could be resolved. His initial thoughts were proved entirely correct after an MRI, and prompt surgery was the realistic option for a condition that is considered somewhat rare. After five weeks from my initial consultation I regained full motor function to my hand, for which I am eternally grateful. His lovely secretary was also most helpful in guiding me through the process.

Overall, this was an extremely swift and positive experience from first consultation to post op. care. Mr Jain's approach, professionalism and time was much valued. Ongoing physio at the Spire is super. Still a long way to go to return to a fully functioning shoulder but that's my job! All involved have given me confidence in my ability to heal. Thank you.
