The macular hole surgery was painless and seemed to go very well. It is still just 2 days after the surgery, and I won't know if it has been successful for at least another 10 days. The worst part of the whole experience is the posturing after the surgery. It would be good to have more information and advice on this aspect of the process.
I was impressed by the professionalism of all the staff that I had any dealings with
Mr Upendran were very professional and knowledgeable. He was very caring and sensitive throughout the assessment. The Cathedral system wouldn't show the referral through cathedral connect so Mr Upendran didn't have access to previous OCT scans or visual acuities which made the assessment much more difficult for him. My grandaughter had some of the scans on her phone which he was able to look at for comparison.
