Mr. Mahmood completed his Orthopaedic Residency (CCT) in the North East of England and further refined his expertise through advanced Fellowship training in Glasgow, Sheffield, and the world-renowned orthopaedic center in Auckland, New Zealand. During his year in Auckland, he gained highly specialized experience in robotic and computer-assisted knee replacements, as well as minimally invasive total hip replacement procedures. This cutting-edge training enables him to offer the most advanced and precise surgical techniques, ensuring faster recovery times and outstanding outcomes for his patients.
His clinical interests include minimally invasive hip replacements, partial knee replacements, and robotic-assisted total knee replacements. He also performs knee arthroscopy surgery and remains at the forefront of his field by regularly attending advanced training courses and collaborating with international experts in complex joint replacement procedures.

Really good experience from start to finish with Doctor Mahmood, from first consultation the speed of the whole process from scans to the operation is all focused on the patient, personal calls in the evening to talk you through the process to discharge after procedure was a real personal touch throughout. I have had a total knee replacement with Mr Mahmood. From my first consultation to being discharged after my robotic knee operation on the 21/04/2026 Mr Mahmood has been hands on and in contact with me from start to finish. The operation went well and with my Osteo-arthritis causing me pain for years and having an Antalgic Gait present in my daily life , this has all been rectified with the removal of my arthritic condition and the realignment down through my new prosthetic knee. I am so greatful to Mr Mahmood and the Elanic team for all their help and professionalism they have shown me. Thank you.
