Dr Ioannis Felekos

Dr. Ioannis Felekos is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Bristol Heart Institute, where he has been practicing since April 2020. He completed his specialist training in coronary intervention at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and has developed expertise in a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures.

Dr. Felekos performs coronary angioplasty, including complex interventions such as left main and bifurcation lesions. He is also skilled in intra-coronary imaging techniques, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), as well as coronary physiology studies for comprehensive assessment of the coronary microcirculation. He has a specialist interest in managing patients with refractory angina and has recently introduced the coronary sinus reducer device at the Bristol Heart Institute.

In addition to his interventional work, Dr. Felekos has broad experience in general cardiology, managing the full spectrum of cardiac conditions, including hypertension and other complex cardiovascular disorders.
