Dr Bhavik Modi

Outstanding Patient Experience Award – Doctify 2025 and 2026

Dr Modi is an experienced consultant cardiologist and honorary associate professor specialising in General and Interventional Cardiology. He is widely regarded as one of the best cardiologists in Leicester, Nottingham and the wider Midlands and South-East region. He sees patients privately in Leicester, Nottingham and London. 

He did his medical school training at Cambridge University and University College London, followed by junior doctor training at London's top teaching hospitals: Hammersmith, Harefield, Royal Brompton and University College London Hospitals. During his training, Dr Modi was awarded Membership with the Royal College of Physicians. He later underwent specialty training in Cardiology, during which he completed research in Cardiovascular Physiology at St Thomas' Hospital, funded by a British Heart Foundation Fellowship. He was awarded a PhD for this work by the University of London. Following this, he completed Cardiology training and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Barts Heart Centre. His NHS consultant base is now at the nationally leading Glenfield Hospital, where he is has won several awards for transforming heart attack pathways.

Dr Modi has specialist expertise in all areas of general and interventional cardiology, with particular interests in Coronary Artery Disease and Prevention of Coronary Artery Disease. He regularly sees patients with the following symptoms: breathlessness, chest pain, high cholesterol, high blood pressure (hypertension) and palpitations. He also has experience in aviation cardiology and CAA medicals. He is recognised as a leading expert in prevention and treatment of heart disease, angioplasty, stent insertion, coronary angiography and coronary stent insertion.
