Dr. Tilottama Nandy asked all the necessary questions before proceeding with the polyp removal and even made some small talk to help put me at ease, which I appreciated. However, the option of local anaesthesia was not discussed beforehand; though before administering it, she did confirm that it was safe during pregnancy. The preparation for the procedure felt lacking, as the anaesthesia and the scalpel/scissors were not readily available. The nurse had to leave to gather these while the speculum was already inserted, which caused additional discomfort that could have been avoided with better readiness. After the procedure, the doctor ensured that I rested for about 10 minutes and checked that there was no excessive bleeding before discharging me, which I found reassuring.

For a considerably long time I've had prostate related problems which seemed to come to a head with a severe and very debilitating urine infection. Mr. Ellis suggested Holep surgery to my prostate which was very enlarged. He also suggested the operation could help to prevent another infection. Well, it was extremely successful and I'm totally amazed with the result. I'm thrilled that he suggested the operation. Mr Perianayagam made me feel at ease with with my imminent knee replacement operation, I was quite nervous, but following our chat felt much better. I chose to have an epidural instead of anaesthetic, the operation went very well and I cannot thank Mr Perianaygam enough for his care and professionalism. I must also say that my recovery is also going extremely well. At my first physio session 3 weeks after the operation I was told by the physio that she was amazed at my excellant recovery and that I could bend my knee at 120 degees after such a short time. I was very apprehensive about getting both of my eyes done at the same time. I cant believe how easy and painless it was ,all of the staff were amazing in looking after me and putting me at ease. Having 24 hr support was amazing ,my concerns were addressed quickly . If only everything was as easy as this ,within 3 days i could see perfectly ,i never realised how much of a difference it would make . From my consultant ,nursing staff, opthamologists, domestic staff and receptionist they went above and beyond in their care. Nothing was too much bother. Dont hesitate to go ,you will be amazed .

Seeing my husbands, gashed and bruised face after a fall, when he lost balance, the lady there saw him immediately, help me persuade him to attend A and E, which he previously refused!! Took wonderful care of him, and gave us the most generous discount, because she felt he had been traumatised enough! We will certainly recommend your service. Also for people with less than perfect balance, it was so good to have a ground floor service. Thank you so much for such wonderful care, the lady there went above and beyond for us.

After I got a PCO in my left eye I needed laser surgery. I had not been told this was common after Lens replacement by the opticians who did did that surgery so I was very worried about my sight. I contacted Cathedral Eye Clinic who assured me it was common and was easily corrected. They made an appointment and in less than an hour my sight was restored. I was dealth with by very friendly and professional staff and would happily recommend Cathedral Eye Clinic to anyone .

Attending appointments at HCA at the Shard is always smooth. Its convenient location makes it my preferred clinic. Two points to mention, or areas for improvement: - Broken automatic glass door, it's been broken for awhile, unsure why not fixed yet. - The reception staff at the main reception downstairs were snacking on prawn cocktail crisps whilst attending visitors which I thought lacked professionalism.
