Excellent , professional, first class care and support from start to finish by my amazing consultant Mr Farid Ud-Din and all the amazing staff at The Meriden Hospital, Coventry . I had a left total hip replacement and leg length correction on the 8 December 2025 which was under the care of the amazing consultant / surgeon Mr Farid Ud-Din . I went down for surgery in the afternoon and had a spinal injection , this did not hurt in anyway and the care and support I received by the theatre team put me at ease. Once back in my room, the hospital room was excellent , very clean , I received the best care from all involved nursing staff , catering staff , physio team , porters , X-ray team , all the staff were amazing. I left the hospital the following day and was able to walk comfortably with the help of crutches , I made sure I stuck to the advice I was given taking my prescribed medication to control the pain , made sure I done my exercises daily , 3 times a day , this has helped build my strength . After 5 weeks I am now walking around the house without any aids and walking short distances with ease . I would like to sincerely thank Mr Ud-Din for everything he has done for me in giving me my quality of life back , pain free and enjoying life to the full . Thank you to all involved for everything you have done for me , I cannot Thank you enough .

I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

Mr Mazen Tahhan

I had a distance lens inserted on my right eye and Mr. Mazen Tahhan gave me his telephone number and said to call him if I had a problem. I am a keen insect photographer and noticed with the distance lens I could not see my camera screen clearly. I was very worried about the impact on my photography skills and ability to focus on very small insects. About 8 p.m. I sent him a text and he immediately called me. He listened to my worries and when I asked about non NHS lens he sent me a lot of information on these to consider. Next day he called back and after more discussion recommended I stay with an NHS close-up lens and get as much light as possible into the eye. I followed his advice and am very, very pleased with the result and now feel confident I can continue enjoy my rewarding interest in insects. I really appreciated how he understood my concerns and helped me to make the right decision.

I am extremely happy that I chose Dr Derek Ho to perform my cataract surgery. He took his time to explain to me over the phone the different options and to make a recommendation when I asked him to. In the end I went with his suggestion of having a toric EMV lens in both eyes done at the same time. On the day of surgery he was very calm, polite and caring. His surgical skills are second to none. I felt reassured that I was in very experienced and capable hands. I could not believe that the treatment was completely pain free and smooth and easy. I could see very clearly after the operation straight away. Two days after the procedure I am totally amazed by how well I can see. I can now see better than I have ever been able to with glasses when I was younger. A truly transformative operation. I am so grateful to Dr Ho for what he has done for me. He is a great surgeon. I was taken into a room that was obviously not cleaned after the last patient as their clothes were still there. My postop instructions were to stay warm. I was absolutely freezing after surgery because the nurses turned the heat down to suit another patient. I was on the end bed and no one came to check on me for ages so I couldn’t get another blanket. I told the nurses at least three times that I don’t eat dairy. I then had cow’s milk and dairy butter placed in front of me which is offensive. The nurses paid a lot of attention to the person next to me, but rarely checked on me. I felt overlooked. By this point, I just wanted to go home but again they prioritised other patients so I was late to leave.

I have been a patient of Dr Friedmann for quite some time now and I would not go anywhere else. I suffer with high levels of health anxiety however he is so kind, professional and reassuring that I’m always less anxious about an upcoming appointment and always leave feeling much calmer. When you suffer with health anxiety you often feel like medical professionals don’t take you seriously, this is not the case with Dr Friedmann, he always listens to my concerns and does his upmost to provide the best possible care. If you are somebody who worries about their skin or has ongoing skin issues I would definitely recommend booking in with him.

After not getting an appointment with our GP I decided to book an appointment late on in the afternoon when I became concerned with my child. I was able to book online with ease and had the appointment for 35 minutes later. The staff were welcoming and it wasn’t long in the waiting room before we were seen. Fiona made my child and myself feel at ease and did a thorough check. She even offered a follow up MOT check the next day which left me very reassured. This is the third time I’ve used the clinic and would recommend to anyone needing piece of mind when they can’t access their own GP unfortunately..

Cannot tell you about my visit as my reply to asking for an appointment is we don’t have and appointments and try calling on a Monday Tuesday or Thursday. Absolutely disgusting I’d be happy if given a date in a months time . You know you can never either get through on the phone or online to ge pain and with many other issues t an appointment. Spend a hour on hold to be told there are no appointments so I’m living in absolute pain and many other issues what a waste of time

My experience was very good but spoiled somewhat as the receptionist could not give me a date for the biopsy after I had my consultation with the Consultant. From what I could gather he did not have any slots open ! . That was on the 8th of January and I was told that someone would be in touch. It is now the 17th of January and I would like to know a date so that I can arrange as far as possible to be free then .
