My consultant Hugh O’Kane was so lovely excellent communication skills empathy and he listened to me , which some consultants would need to have a refresher course on dealing with patients. The anaesthetist ( sorry i can’t remember his name an Indian gentleman again so lovely) and the nurses in theatre were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the sedation was not great effect but got through. Recovery nurse Alex’s was very attentive & had a very caring way . Transferred to ward 3 Bernadette the nurse and Sinead & Sarah ( hopefully I have the correct names) all excellent A really lovely friendly member of the catering team Gillian came to see if I would like something to eat at that time I did not , but she Came k later to check & made the most delicious toasted sandwich. I had buzzed for the nurse as I was in a lot of pain behind my left knee she gave me liquid paracetamol, the pain got worse i asked for the compression stocking to be removed, the problem was that the stocking had not been pulled up straight and therefore it had “ marked my ankle very deeply “ with the result that the circulation would have been effected. My leg felt “Dead or asleep “ I felt afraid but the staff where lovely, Hugh came to see me around 8.30 pm had a conversation with my son in England and the plan was to stay (but before this they where happy to let me go home Kelly the manager came to speak to me as this was no fault of mine they I asked “in a scenario such as mine was there not a plan B in place “ to which she responded “0 yes and a plan b c & d “ ) So thankfully the outcome was resolved, I was to stay Hugh would see me in the morning. The night staff Keira & a girl called you I’m think the other health care assistant was Sharon hopefully this is correct but all excellent care. Hugh came in to see me just after 7am very attentive, examined my leg, I said that the pain was not as severe as the night before & I was happy to go home, “to which he replied if your happy so am I “ ( if only more consultants had his way ) he said I was not to worry re the financial situation re the over night stay Over all I am glad that we resolved the situation.

I would not go back to this dental practice again.. I was booked in to have an extraction by a surgeon who I have since found out only comes in on a Tuesday. I was not that impressed with her bedside manner or the Nurse.. I was extremely traumatised and told them I was nervous. The extraction took a really long time and was not an easy removal and was extremely uncomfortable. I was shaking like a leaf and afterwards,, I was basically dismissed and sent away without being offered any form of empathy. I’ve since had terrible problems and I’m in a lot of pain four days later. I rang the dentist this morning. who then informed me that the surgeon only comes in once a week and I needed to go back to my own dentist, which is quite a drive away. I’m not impressed at all and would definitely not return. Also, the Dental practice is obviously undergoing some sort of renovation. The waiting room was a blank white room with no window extremely uninviting, no music not good when you are an extremely nervous patient waiting to have a horrible procedure done .not a good experience for me I’m afraid.

Good evening, Today I received the official confirmation that I have passed my viva, and as I promised, I wanted to share this happiness with you. I am writing with overwhelming joy, remembering your support and the help that I will never forget. Thank you, Doctor, from the bottom of my heart—you truly saved my life. Before contacting you, I felt I had nothing, yet in less than a year I was able to complete my thesis. It is something I could hardly believe. Thank you again for the kindness you have shown in helping someone like me. I am currently arranging my trip to Saudi Arabia next week on Wednesday, and I will return for graduation next summer. I would like to ask whether you recommend that I continue the medication. If so, my current prescription lasts month, I may need to request more, as I found that only the first medication I used is available in Saudi Arabia.

I had a lumbar microdiscectomy at St Anthony’s and the care I received was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, patient and attentive throughout my stay. In the post-operation recovery area, the Irish nurse who looked after me was especially wonderful. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name — I was still a bit loopy after the anaesthetic — but she was unbelievably kind, gentle and reassuring at a moment when I really needed it. On the ward, Rose was also fantastic. She checked on me regularly, made sure I was comfortable, and was so warm and supportive. Her kindness made the first night after surgery much easier. Overall, the team at St Anthony’s made what could have been a very stressful experience feel calm and safe. I’m really grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend the hospital.

Couldn't fault the hospital at all. It is clean, and a very welcoming environment, but of course is absolutely down to the people that run it. Every single member of staff I came across - whether in my pre op assessment appointment, or during my surgical visit - was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to get along with. I have had few good experiences when it comes to hospital visits, but the two times I've been at The Lister Hospital, I have spoken to and laughed with so many workers. My nurse Rasheed was an absolute gem, and was brilliant with my family when they came to the room after surgery. Whether it was the nurse that helped me to the loo, the people on reception, the physio - every single person I interacted with made it such a calm and positive experience, their kindness will stay with me so thank you very much

I attended Mr Peter's surgery at Spire over 12 months back to discuss hip pain and options. Following xrays and confirmation of osteoarthritis in both, he was extremely helpful and clear as regards my (limited) options for managing the pain or resolving through hip replacement. As someone with 2 young kids and relatively young at 51, I was worried about surgery but his calm and supportive manner convinced me and I felt I would be in very safe hands. I underwent the surgery on my left hip in early August and was fully back on my feet n no time. The support, quality of care and professionalism of Mr Peter (as well as all the staff at Spire) was amazing and I would recommend to anyone suffering similar pain. I'm almost looking forward to going back again for.my right! Thank you again Mr Peter!

I was told to report to the Heart Centre, which I did, then tried to catch the attention of the only staff member I could see who was someone eating her breakfast from a bowl. The encounter was not welcoming or friendly. I was told to go downstairs to a different door, with no sign on. When I did finally find the right place the nurse was very friendly and kind, and everything went very well after that. The nurse and the consultant were very good in all they did. My letter of admission insisted that I was 'nil by mouth' so I arrived at the hospital thirsty and hungry. When there I was informed that in fact I could eat and drink whatever I wanted- that there was no restriction. I wish I had been informed correctly in the first place.

Ms Naeem, was understanding of my frustration of only being provided 4 weeks supply of Testogel at my clinic appointment 10 months ago and then only just getting a followup appointment 10 months later. She explained that it can take minimum of 3 months to feel any effect, so it is necessary to start again with a longer supply, and leave my case with an open appointment for ease of returning if necessary. She will also write to my Dr's to request they take over prescribing if no problems and the prescription works. Also explained that I'll need to take boods again to check my testosterone levels when the supply finishes. I appreciated the plan and full explanation.

Made contact with the Spire and was offered an appointment within days with Dr Hodge. He was kind, thorough, knowledgeable and reassuring. He took a detailed history of our 8 month old, carried out skin prick tests for various allergens, provided advice on the milk and soya ladders, assessed our baby’s eczema and referred us to his dietician contact. We had our baby’s peanut allergy confirmed and were provided with an action plan for this. Would highly recommend to anyone on the weaning journey, whose baby has had an allergic reaction, which has caused them worry about introducing other allergens. Thank you, Dr Hodge.

I visited Mr Natt this week after experiencing tightness in my throat. He took the time to ask thorough questions to understand the issue and carried out a nasal endoscopy to investigate further. Throughout the procedure, he explained everything clearly, checked that I was comfortable, and showed genuine concern for my wellbeing. When the issue became visible on the screen, he carefully explained what was happening in a way that put my mind at ease. Mr Natt was kind, professional, and attentive from start to finish. I felt very well cared for and would highly recommend him.

All the staff at the clinic were very professional and the facilities excellent. Mr Siva Kumar was extremely polite and took time to explain every step of the procedure plus post-operative care in detail. During the procedure he was precise and carefully explained what he was about to do to completely prepare me. Although I have not yet seen the full results due to the dressings still in place it has been a pain free experience so far. Thank you.

Giving all the options available, both from the pre-opp consultation, and doublebchecking on the day of the opp itself All round an excellent surgeon.

It’s always a relaxed & positive atmosphere when seeing my lovely consultant MrDehne. I’ve just been ‘signed off’ with a good report and praise for doing so well…as you have to do your post op exercises! Before my knee replacement operation in June this year he told me step by step what would happen and assured me he’d do a ‘good job’. I have no pain at all and am now much more mobile.
