Medical Prime has been the best service I had ever received. The team are empathetic, professional, hugely experienced & very transparent with regards to treatment. I feel so lucky to be in the very capable guidance & care of Dr Theodora Kalentzi along with Zarina who makes the whole booking process so easy. Going on HRT has been the best thing for me & what is wonderful is how Dr Theodora has such a pragmatic & calm approach. I was in a bit of a broken state not understanding what was wrong. By the end of my first appointment I felt really happy that I was ‘normal’ as Dr Theodora listened & was generous with her time in kindly sharing her knowledge of how this is a normal process that we women go through. How right she was as within a few weeks I felt myself again which was a huge relief. We continue to have regular appointments which are always so calm & helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Medical Prime & the amazing team to anyone. It has been one of the best decisions I have made.

As I am not a well person and a wheelchair user, the wait was longer due to my health and help to get out. The staff were very understanding around this. I found though, beyond reception the phone system was not the easiest due to the very short length of time given to leave your message, which for people who are disabled, so not the fastest just basic messages of name, number, DOB plus short message, it frequently cut off before you had finished. Beyond that, it was a pleasant experience as it was the least painful steroid injection I'd had to date and I did let the consultant know that. The staff were helpful and accommodating as a wheelchair user plus self employed PA we know we take up space, so not the easiest inside a small room. Thankfully I can still transfer which helps so I can fold the wheelchair up once on to the couch. The staff were very helpful around my safety doing so which is always really appreciated. Please thank them for me.

There was a massive time delay in getting my discharge letter/documents After lots of emails to Binley and Coventry ( possibly some to “ differing addresses “ , I admit ) phone calls ( no call backs as promised) I eventually received an email from Binley with the discharge document attached IT WAS WRONG ! I have asked for another ACCURATE letter I feel “ a look into “ your ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEMS should be immediately undertaken Angela said she would “ close my file “ , perhaps a shade early considering the happenings By the way your documentation quotes a 15 minute walk from Coventry Railway station to your Binley site …..,…… MORE LIKE AN HOUR ! My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.

My overall experience was excellent, from the reception staff, being taken to the room, the 1:1 pre-operative discussions with Dr Lowe and Dr Barnard, to the nursing staff (continuity of the nursing staff and Daisy's approach and empathy), the theatre team and the post procedure care. I mentioned to Dr Lowe how impressed I was with the communication between the theatre team, which provided a great deal of confidence. I should also mention how well they communicated with me on a 1:1 basis explaining what they were doing.
