I am Mrs Priya Prakash, a Consultant Ophthalmologist working in both the NHS and the private sector here in the United Kingdom. Thank you for taking a moment to visit my Doctify page. I have been caring for patients with eye problems for more than 30 years, with a particular focus on cataract surgery using both monofocal and premium intraocular lens implants. I am also a medical retina consultant, specialising in conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and retinal vein occlusions, as well as many other retinal conditions. In addition, I see patients with glaucoma, dry eyes, eyelid problems and many other causes of blurred or reduced vision. I like to take time to understand your concerns, explain the diagnosis in clear, simple language, and talk through all the options so that we can decide on the best plan together. Many of my patients tell me this helps them feel calm and confident before their procedure. I work at Ramsay Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth, Ramsay Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Practice Plus Group Hospitals in Gillingham and Ilford, and at the University of Southampton, alongside a friendly and experienced team.
