About
Mr. Charles Evans is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon based at The Wellington Hospital and the Platinum Medical Centre. He completed basic surgical training in London and achieved MD from the University of London following research into colorectal cancer and minimally invasive surgery.
Mr. Evans and his colleague Mr. Miskovic have formed the Colorectal & Robotic Surgery Centre for HCA Healthcare UK; working in partnership to deliver a bespoke colorectal and robotic surgical service.
Mr.Evans undertook higher surgical training in the Oxford Deanery following which he was selected for the National Ethicon Fellowship in Advanced Colorectal Surgery. He undertook a further fellowship in complex colorectal surgery at St Mark's Hospital, London.
Currently, Mr. Evans is the Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He is a consultant Colorectal and General surgeon. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery performing robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He trains surgeons across Europe and the UK in robotic surgery
Outside of work Mr. Evans has a young family which fills most of his free time. He enjoys keeping fit and is a coach for a junior team at Balsall and Berkswell Rugby club.

Mr Evans was polite and professional at all times. During my initial consultation he confirmed my diagnosis and how he would proceed. He visited before & after my operation & was very reassuring each time. My final visit today I confirmed that I've made a super recovery and this is in no short measure due to the care I received. I had a robotic (laparoscopic) inguinal hernia repair with Charles Evans in the middle of February 2024. He explained everything and gave me excellent advice. I was able to leave the hospital on the same day. All pain went away within 48 hours after the surgery. I highly recommend him for a robotic operation.

Mr Evans is a first rate consultant & surgeon in whom I have absolute confidence. He has diagnosed and treated my fistula condition very satisfactorily which has been ongoing for a few years. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he has always managed to fit me into his busy schedule, sometimes at very short notice whenever I have needed urgent help. I highly recommend Mr Evans.
