Mr Harry Akram is a highly experienced clinical audiologist and hearing aid dispenser, currently practicing at Pindrop Hearing. Since completing his BSc in Audiology at the University of Manchester in 2007, he has built a distinguished career across both NHS and specialist clinical settings.
Harry began his professional journey at Gateshead Health NHS Trust, working across the main hospital and multiple satellite clinics throughout Tyne & Wear. He later advanced to a senior role in Diagnostics at UCLH NHS Trust, where he played a key part in transitioning services to the newly established Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospital in 2020. During his time at UCLH, he served as Clinical Lead for Audiologist-Led Services and subsequently as Interim Head of Diagnostics. In 2025, he undertook a secondment with NHS England, progressing to the role of London Audiology Training & Education Lead until September of that year.
His clinical expertise spans hearing aid dispensing, paediatric audiology, electrophysiological testing (ABR/CERA), otology, vestibular assessment and balance rehabilitation, tinnitus assessment, aural care, and microsuction.
Outside the clinic, Harry enjoys live music (always with earplugs), spending time with friends, as well as playing and watching football.
