We decided to visit them after reading their positive reviews and wanted to give it a try. After reviewing my test results, they recommended a three-month course of treatment. The instructions and cooking process were clear and easy to follow. After completing the three months of treatment, I went for another test and was delighted to learn that my FSH levels had gone down, which felt unbelievable and made us extremely happy. That said, I would have liked to learn more about my TCM diagnosis and what it meant, as this was not really explained to me. This was a bit disappointing, as I was genuinely interested—especially considering the cost of the consultations. Communication and transparency could have been better in this regard. However, Professor Au did call us to reassure us whenever he felt it was needed, which we appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone who is struggling with fertility and looking for support.

My experience was first rate from beginning to end. At my first consultation Mr Coull gave me a very clear understanding of my treatment options and guided me to a decision that took account of my priorities. On the day of the surgery he was supportive and encouraging and left me feeling I knew exactly what I needed to do to recover well. I had only minimal pain post the procedure and my tiny neat incisions healed quickly. At my final clinic Mr Coull checked my progress with care, reassured me and left me feeling confident to put the procedure behind me and return to all my activities. Mr Coull clearly has a very high level of technical skill but he is also a fantastic communicator. Despite being in my seventies, keeping physically active is very important to me. Unlike other doctors of my experience, Mr Coull was respectful and supportive of this and this meant a great deal to me.

I had an initial consultation for varicose vein treatment (following a flyer in the post) and following further investigations/diagnosis I went ahead and had an operation. The whole experience from beginning to end was first class. Everything was fully explained to me and all my questions were answered before deciding on the most appropriate treatment. The operation (under local anaesthetic) went well with a nurse talking to me all the time and explaining everything which was happening as as well as distracting me! My recovery went as planned - and as explained - and a follow up visit to see the consultant was very reassuring. All in all I was very pleased with everything and would not hesitate in recommending Shepton Mallet Hospital.

I had my Pre-assessment on 14/91/26 at 09.30. I arrived early because of the inadequate parking at the hospital but was pleasantly surprised to be able to park straight away so, I arrived at 09.00 for my appt. I registered with reception then the nurse, Sharon, called me. Sharon talked me through my Pre-assessment and explained in detail what would happen when I'm admitted for my op. She gave me an ECG, took MRSA swabs and I had my bloods taken. Sharon explained several forms to me and provided Octensian wash and nasal gel for me to use prior to admission and after. The whole experience was positive. Sharon was very professional with an easy, friendly manner and kindly answered my questions that she had not already covered.

Mr Andrews has shown me a very caring attitude and always has time to listen and responds in a very respectful and professional manner. He goes out of his way to explain and support his medical opinion, and shows courtesy and compassion which I have found so helpful and quite honestly hugely appreciated in the medical profession. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him, and I know that should I need any further assistance I will be in contact without a doubt. Ms Anderco has been a great help in dealing with a complex set of problems, a number of which are not strictly within her specialism. I came to her after waiting a significant amount of time in the NHS referral system with some worrying and hard to explain symptoms. While I don't have a definitive explanation for everything going on, I feel she has gone above and beyond to try and understand the problems, rule out any serious possible causes and assist my progress in the NHS system. Her efforts and explanations have been a great help in reassuring me while I wait for the next steps

I was very happy with my treatment with everyone especially Wr Kamran Khan who I can’t recommend enough, he was friendly, assuring and also the lovely nurse who looked after me after my op. Sorry I can’t remember her name but she was so caring. Anyone going for a cararact op this place is brilliant and everyone I came in contact with both times I was there I feel I couldn’t have had better. Someone calls you the following day to check that you are okay so everything perfect. Thank you all.
