About Dr Daniel Hammersley
Dr Daniel Hammersley is a Consultant Cardiologist at King’s College Hospital in London. He manages patients with all forms of heart disease and adopts a holistic patient-centred approach. He has a particular interest in cardiomyopathy, heart failure and cardiac MRI. At King's College Hospital, Dr Hammersley is service lead for inherited cardiac conditions. Dr Hammersley completed his medical training at Oxford University and Imperial College, qualifying in 2011 with seven distinctions. He trained in cardiology in London and went on to complete advanced fellowships in inherited cardiac conditions, heart failure, cardiac MRI, and transplant cardiology at prestigious institutions including The Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital, and King’s College Hospital. He was awarded a PhD from the National Heart & Lung Institute of Imperial College, with this work yielding multiple high-impact publications and Young Investigator Award nominations.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hammersley is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, where he undertakes research into cardiomyopathies, cardiovascular genetics and advanced imaging. Dr. Hammersley went the extra mile to ensure I was taken care of at very short notice. I was admitted to hospital under his care and during my stay he really made sure to put me at ease and ensured I was getting the best care from all angles possible. Every other Doctor I spoke to at the hospital told me how lucky I am to be under Dr Hammersley's care. I cannot recommend Dr Hammersley highly enough - he is a world class Doctor in a highly complex and evolving field.
