Miss Karolina Afors is an experienced consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in the management of endometriosis, pelvic pain, colposcopy and minimally invasive surgical solutions to gynaecological conditions.

Miss Afors has been a member of The Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2016. As well as completing a 2-year clinical fellowship in advanced minimal access surgery at Kings College Hospital, Miss Afors worked as a clinical research fellow at IRCAD, an internationally recognised endoscopic centre in Strasbourg, France.
In 2015 she was nominated as Co-Chair to the Young Endoscopist Platform (YEP) and has been extensively involved in organising training events at the British and European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopists. She also serves on the BSGE committee for laparoscopic training.
Miss Afors has presented both nationally and internationally on numerous occasions and has published over 20 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals. She has received both national and international prizes at scientific meetings for her contribution and work in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. She continues to participate as part of the faculty on the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists Laparoscopic ATSM courses and the Advanced Gynaecological Courses in IRCAD, Strasbourg. She also serves as head instructor for the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery.

Laparoscopy for removal of endometriosis and polyp went well without any complications and I had an easy and speedy recovery. Karolina was very clear and professional in her advice before and after the surgery.
Ms Afors was incredibly reassuring and very clear delivering sensitive information - I would highly recommend Ms Afors!
This was my first appointment with Ms Afors. I was attending the Claire Mellon Clinic for an annual pelvic scan. Ms Afors was extremely kind, respectful and gentle. She carried out the scan with the utmost professionalism and the she took great care to explain the results clearly and was happy to discuss all the concerns that I had.
Dr Afors is kind, compassionate and listens. She took time to go over all my symptoms and effects of hormonal change and we discussed various treatments. I feel tremendous relief after my visit with her.
