Mr Torath Ameen is a Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate and kidney conditions, including prostate cancer, kidney cancer, benign prostate enlargement, urinary symptoms in both men and women and adult circumcision under local anaesthetic.

I have recently had my prostate removed due to cancer. Mr Ameen explained everything to me in advance, good and bad. After surgery I recovered very well and was delighted that some of the things that I was warned about, were very quickly recovered from. Happy to say I am now cancer free and thank you to Mr Ameen and his team.
Mr Ameen is always very understanding of my side effect issues after the surgery. He takes his time to explain very clearly when answering questions I raise with him. I feel very lucky to have had Mr Ameen as my cancer surgeon, I had no pain post surgery, and the scarring has all healed well. The NHS are very fortunate to have such amazing doctors working for them, and so am I.
Although being cancelled from an earlier surgery date through unforeseen circumstances. The upmost was done to get my surgery ASAP. The after care was brilliant and information given for my recovery over the following weeks was great. Now 8 wks on I feel 80% to full recovery.
