Mr Graeme Nicol

Mr. Nicol replaced my right hip about 3 weeks ago, using the anterior approach process. I can't speak highly enough about what he and his anaesthetist, Mr. Andrew Dalton, did for me, making the whole event so straightforward. They were extremely professional but at the same time very approachable and happy to discuss any and all questions. I had a hip replacement 11 years ago but this time it was very different and very much easier and I have not had the difficulties I experienced last time post op - easier to start the rehab, exercises, easier to get a decent sleep, not nearly so much initial discomfort. I had the op at King's Park Hospital which gave me excellent care ( my nurse Stephanie was brilliant) and I was home the following day, having had check up visits from Mr. Nicol and Mr. Dalton. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Dalton - if I had a third hip I'd be asking him to replace it too!

Professor Melvin Lobo

I've only seen Dr Lobo once, so my experience is still limited, but he seemed very knowledgeable about my obscure problems. Time will tell whether his hypotheses are correct, but so far he seemed to have a very practical approach and a concrete plan moving forward. When it came to my appointment, he was timely and polite. The wait time for his appointment was very reasonable (2-3 weeks), and he produced the letter for my appointment very quickly (<24h). My only criticism is that the default pharmacy used by London Bridge Hospital clinicians is Pharmacierge, and it seems to be very expensive. The Low Dose Naltrexone I was prescribed was £239, but only £66 when shopping around. Dr Lobo kindly rerouted the prescription to another pharmacy, but I would suggest to at least inform the patients about certain costs and letting them know about more sensible options.

Mr Gavin Macpherson

I have never used private health care before and had been quite anxious. My first meeting with Gavin Macpherson, who had been recommended to me by a neighbour, was very reassuring. He was very clear in his discussion regarding my knee: looking at the x-ray, talking about the nature of the operation and describing the aftermath of the operation. It was a very helpful and supportive meeting. Gavin came to see me in my room before the operation. I didn't recognise him at first in his surgical kit! He was friendly, kind and reassuring. The operation went smoothly. Gavin called into see me several times afterwards. He had been pleased with the operation. I am delighted as I have had little severe pain - less than I had expected, some swelling but no bruising. Ten days on I already have promising mobility!

Mr Sidloff was very professional, very polite and welcoming to myself and my partner who attended my appointment with me. My overall experience from the initial first consultation appointment, through the surgery and follow up appointment was perceived with great care and professionalism. Mr Sidloff was very knowledgeable and informative of all aspects involved in the procedure and aftercare. When I raised a concern with Mr Sidloff within the recovery time of my surgery, he shown great care and compassion and reassured me that this was just normal recovery and put my mind at ease.

Mr Donald Mcarthur

I had a very large inguinal hernia and after a long wait I had my operation. From my original consultation with Mr. McArthur, his pleasant and reassuring manner gave me great faith in him, and his skill was outstanding. My follow up appointment was so reassuring and he confirmed that everything had gone great. As I am a very nervous type of person, I would venture to say that Mr. McArthur is truly a "hernia angel", such was the good work he did for me. Mr. McArthur and his anesthetist and medical and admin team worked great together. I am truly grateful.

An excellent surgeon of high professional standards. He takes time to provide clear explanation of the problem and how it can be resolved. He is diligent in ensuring he has all the relevant information including necessarily appropriate diagnostic investigation to help determine his approach. Definitely worth the referral and ,90mile journey to rectify issues resulting for more local treatment. Mr Chintapatla is probably one of the best surgeons in the country supported by a great team.

Mr Ioan Tudur Jones

Mr Tudor Jones was very clear and concise, he made the whole process easy for me. I have had a long, drawn out history of Achilles pain and he reassured me that the procedure would go to plan and I would be on the road to recovery soon despite the long history. So far so good, starting into a rehab block now and I have had a 6 week follow up with Mr Jones who was very accomodating to have this for me on zoom as I live in Ireland which saved me a trip! Would highly recommend.

Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

Arrived very early went first to reception asked very kindly to come back about 15mins before my appointment and then on for a cup of tea in the cafeteria which was excellent. With 15mins before my appointment went to reception informed was already checked in and take a seat. unfortunately there was some form of medical emergency and correspondingly 2 hr delay However overall kept informed and a lovely experience

My experience once in the practice was very good. Staff friendly and professional. What I found very stressful beforehand was locating the property. The letter that I received from the NHS gave an address of One Medical House which I could not find on any signage. I drove around for 10 mins and was then worried that I would miss my appointment. The letter should be updated to state OSD Healthcare.
