Unfortunately in my area the wait is so long! It is a shame temporary staff couldn't have been employed or some staff temporarily located to help however they were always polite and kind when I was always asking. The assessors were wonderful and Brain made me feel at ease with his calmness and soft speaking. The report was much quicker than I expected and very long. I also liked the option for further appointments following diagnosis as I didnt get this with an alternative provider for my adhd assessment so good to know ill get further support, hopefully wont be a years wait for that though. Very glad I choose skylight!

Excellent and understanding

I found my combined ADHD assessment online to be very thorough and, in the end, reassuring and validating. The clinician seemed extremely knowledgeable and very experienced, professional and compassionate. The Autism assessment was in person. And the clinician was, again, knowledgeable and professional. The venue had building work happening, which was very distracting though because of the loud noise. The clinician was very overall very good but did make a comment that "everyone is a bit on the spectrum". This is not only untrue but also an unhelpful start to an assessment I was anxious about. I believe his intent was to be reassuring, it was just the wrong comment to make. I think he was a very good clinician. It just was a little jarring and incongruous with the rest of the experience and perhaps a statement that is more something I hear from people who don't understand the diagnosis so it was a bit strange in the context of the rest of the assessment.

It was a great experience, the staff were really nice and made me feel better as I went in nervous. I think the only real hard part was waiting for the results.
