The nurses in particular were so kind and friendly.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive.

The receptionist at The Manor was very pleasant and helpful. Parking was very nearly an issue, despite the early morning appointment and it’s a nightmare for larger vehicles. The hospital itself seems clean, decor a little dowdy - very crowded.

I could have never asked for a more positive experience. After years of feeling invalidated by family, friends, counsellors, CAMHS etc, I finally felt understood and affirmed as an autistic woman under Skylight’s care. Their methods of assessment were extensive and I believe covered a comprehensive stretch of my life, my experience, behaviours and traits. It also helped to be recognised on a level that was curated to autistic in AFAB people. They also were amazing with keeping information that I wanted to keep confidential as I have previously not been graced with such curtesy by other mental health providers. It really helped that the waitlist was so short (roughly a few weeks) as I have heard of stories of patients waiting for up to 3 years to be seen. The 3 ladies that lead my assessments (Roxanne, Emily and Alexandra) were lovely and they did their best to make me feel comfortable in a strange and nerve-wracking situation.

Priory's organisation seemed to be very good. The initial screening call seemed abrupt at the time and very clinical, but the staff member seemed knowledgeable and matched me with a great clinician. I had Kira as my clinician - from the very first session she created a very safe, welcoming space, explained very clearly the path forward we would take and maintained very clear communication throughout all my sessions. I had never tried or even heard of EMDR and she explained it in a way that was very easy to understand and also the reason behind each of the steps and actions. She was very kind, knowledgeable and I felt that the priority was my health above all.
