Dentist Katerina was very professional

I realise that I have been very spoilt having Dr James Meade as my dentist up till now. Dr Meade is excellent with diagnostics, but also gentle and respectful with patients and just simply the best dentist! He has moved on to private practice and sadly the experience I had with locum dentist at Damira was horrible. Not only did the locum have a harsh manner of speaking, but was also rough when working in my mouth. I felt quite nervous at her insensitive way of handling things. Definitely not seeing this locum again.

I had a crown fracture at lunchtime today and rang in a panicking. Was seen the same day and the issue sorted as much as was possible. Everyone was so helpful and kind.

I am very disappointed by the standard of care and attention, particularly the standard of the fitting of dental plates right from the start, recently I was told that my gums had shrunk, but the bottom plate did not fit from the very beginning, when adapted it cut into my lower lip and caused an infection and I have not be able to wear it without discomfort even though the dentist tried to adapt it. My upper set has parts of the plate with sharp or pointed edges which creates great difficulty and pain when eating. The right side of this plate has a large gap between my plate and gum where my little finger can fit, when I try to chew this causes get pain and embarrassment when the sandwich or other food becomes stuck there, or even pulls my plate out, I wear a gel to keep them located even that struggles to cope with them.

The difficult extraction went smoothly and the aftercare was exceptional. On each of my visits over the last 9 months the service has been great. Efficient, on time and very professional. The protocols for ensuing client safety and preventing Covid-19 transmission work well and are executed consistently
